Shiba Inu’s burn rate climbed 131.2% after users destroyed 13.2 million tokens within 24 hours. The latest SHIB burn involved 13 transactions and sharply exceeded the daily totals recorded during the previous week. However, the SHIB burn failed to lift prices as exchange inflows increased and reserves reached 86.32 trillion tokens.

Largest Transaction Drives Daily Burn Increase

Shibburn data showed that community members sent 13.2 million SHIB to inaccessible wallets during the latest reporting period. The SHIB burn permanently removed those tokens from the circulating supply and raised daily activity above recent levels. Daily destruction totals had generally stayed below seven million SHIB during the preceding week.

An unidentified user completed the largest transaction by moving 9.7 million SHIB from CEX.IO to the official dead wallet. That transfer represented most of the daily SHIB burn and occurred one day before the reporting time. The sender’s identity and reason for initiating the transfer remained undisclosed.

Another user destroyed about 1.2 million SHIB several hours before press time. The transaction ranked as the second-largest contribution among the 13 recorded transfers. Together, the largest transactions accounted for most of the tokens removed during the day.

Weekly and Monthly Destruction Totals Rise

The latest activity lifted weekly burns to 45.44 million SHIB, according to Shibburn’s tracking data. Meanwhile, the monthly SHIB burn total increased to 269.9 million tokens. These figures reflect combined transfers to wallets that cannot return tokens into circulation.

Since the ecosystem launched, users have destroyed 410.84 trillion SHIB through 21,216 separate transactions. The cumulative SHIB burn represents 41.08% of the original one quadrillion-token supply. About 58.92% of that initial supply therefore remains available across circulating and other reported holdings.

Token destruction reduces supply permanently, but market demand still determines immediate price movements. The latest SHIB burn did not reverse the token’s recent losses across daily, weekly, and monthly periods. Broader trading flows continued to influence SHIB’s short-term market performance.

Exchange Inflows Offset Supply Reduction

SHIB traded at $0.000004143 after falling 0.23% during the latest 24-hour period. The token also declined 1.36% weekly and 12.31% monthly despite the increased SHIB burn. Its month-to-date loss stood at 1.13%, with 11 days remaining in the month.

Shiba Inu ranked as the 33rd-largest cryptocurrency, while its market capitalization stood near $2.43 billion. CryptoQuant data showed that about 12.6 billion SHIB entered exchanges during the past day. Those inflows exceeded the number of tokens removed through the daily SHIB burn.

Exchange reserves consequently rose to 86.32 trillion SHIB, increasing the amount held on trading platforms. The higher reserve level showed that more tokens became available for possible market transactions. Overall, the SHIB burn reduced supply, while rising exchange balances continued to pressure the token’s near-term performance.
