Timeline for Users Before Odos Shuts Down

Odos laid out a three-stage shutdown timeline. As of July 23, existing users can still swap tokens and close out positions.

New account signups and new wallet creation are disabled immediately. New limit orders are also blocked starting the same day.

Between July 27 and July 30, the app enters read-only mode. Users can view transaction history and balances. No new trades or transfers happen during this window.

After July 30, all Odos services disappear entirely. The team confirmed there will be no further development, support, or maintenance going forward.

Users who created wallets through social or email login face extra steps.

Odos urged these users to transfer assets or export private keys before July 30. The company said wallet access instructions will remain available on its official page even after the shutdown.

What Happens to the ODOS Token After Shutdown

The ODOS token continues to exist on-chain independently of the operating company. Odos clarified the company never custodied or market-made the token.

The winddown does not alter the token’s on-chain mechanics in any way. The Odos DAO operates separately from the company behind the app. Odos said the DAO will share its own plans separately.

Odos also issued a direct scam warning tied to the shutdown.

The company stated there will be no new products, token migrations, or airdrops. It warned users against anyone promoting these through direct messages or fake support accounts.

Odos told users never to share seed phrases or sign transactions from suspicious links. The company said any relaunch claims should be treated as fake unless confirmed through official DAO channels.

Odos closed its announcement by thanking its community. The company said it was proud of what users, integrators, and builders accomplished together on the platform.

No reason was given for the shutdown beyond stating the decision followed extensive consideration.

The closure adds Odos to a growing list of DeFi platforms exiting the space this year. Users with funds tied to Odos wallets should act before the July 30 deadline. Waiting until after the shutdown could complicate asset recovery, based on the company’s own guidance.
