Ethereum Price Faces Key Resistance Near $1,887
Market analyst Sam Mti highlighted that Ethereum has been trading within a range of $1,874 to $1,887. ETH had the $1874 demand area and recently got another buy signal, indicating buyers are still active around this area.
As of the time of this analysis, ETH is trading near $1,884 near the support level. The $1,887 level is the near-term resistance level for bulls. A successful move above this area could open the door for further gains in the short term.
On the downside side of the equation is that analysts are keeping an eye on the $1,833 to $1,849 range as a critical support level. Ethereum price remains below current levels, which could deter or encourage buyers to re-enter the market.
Arthur Hayes Continues Ethereum Accumulation
Adding to market interest, blockchain tracking platform Lookonchain reported that BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes purchased another 645 ETH worth approximately $1.2 million.
According to a recent post on the blockchain tracking website Lookonchain, Arthur Hayes acquired an additional 645 ETH, or almost $1.2 million.
Hayes had 3,915 ETH in his wallet since July 15, spending approximately $7.47 million for this investment, averaging $1,909 per ETH. His current loss is about $113,000 based on the current prices.
Why Ethereum’s Current Price Action Matters
Ethereum is currently the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency with thousands of decentralized applications, stablecoins, and tokenized assets being built on it, which means that its price remains an important indicator of the market.
Despite the current crypto market volatility, the recent Ethereum acquisition by Arthur Hayes reflects a rising trend in institutional interest that grows through spot ETFs, staking, and broader blockchain adoption despite ongoing market volatility.
Investors continue to have strong guidance at key levels. The level of $1,887 provides support on short time frames, whereas the $1,874 level could act as a resistance point that could drive Ethereum back to the $1,833–$1,849 range.
The coming few trading weeks could decide whether Ethereum could move past its current range or keep stalling in the middle of that range as buyers and sellers struggle to take control.
