Security experts and project teams have advised users to avoid unverified links, direct messages, and websites requesting wallet connections or private information. The incidents highlight the importance of self-custody security practices across the digital asset sector.
XRP Phishing Campaign Targets Holders Through Fake Platforms
Xora Finance issued an XRP phishing alert after detecting a coordinated scam operation targeting XRP users. The projectβs founder, Joren Lundgren, warned that attackers created fake websites designed to imitate trusted brands within the XRP ecosystem, attempting to convince users to connect wallets or deposit assets.
According to reports from South Korean authorities, a fraudulent Flare Network staking website allegedly affected 71 investors and resulted in the theft of 3.4 million XRP, valued at approximately $8.5 million at the time of the investigation. The case is being examined as part of a broader wave of crypto-related fraud involving fake investment opportunities.
The attackers have also used social media advertisements and impersonated accounts to increase credibility. XRP holders are being encouraged to verify official channels before interacting with any platform that claims to offer staking, rewards, or exclusive opportunities.

Security Warnings Expand Across The XRP Ecosystem
Xaman wallet, one of the most recognized wallets supporting the XRP Ledger ecosystem, renewed its warning to users about phishing attempts. The platform reminded holders that it does not send direct messages, request private keys, launch unofficial tokens, or distribute surprise airdrops.
Other XRP-related projects have issued similar alerts after scammers created fake accounts using familiar names and logos. Doppler Finance warned users to verify account handles carefully, as fraudsters often copy profile images and branding while operating under different usernames.
The XRP ecosystem continues to grow with new applications, payment solutions, and decentralized services, but this expansion also attracts malicious actors seeking to exploit inexperienced users. Security remains a key factor for wider adoption, especially as more participants interact with blockchain applications.
