BNB Chain has surpassed Tron to become the largest blockchain in terms of stablecoin holders, marking a significant milestone in the stablecoin ecosystem. BNB Chain currently has about 79.3 million stablecoin-holding addresses, just overtaking Tron’s 76.1 million, according to the most recent data from Token Terminal.

The accomplishment signifies a significant change in the use of blockchain technology over the previous 12 months. The number of stablecoin holders on BNB Chain has increased from about 42 million addresses to almost 80 million since late 2024, a roughly 54.5 percent increase.

The new home for Stablecoins

While Tron’s user base grew during that time, it did so much more slowly, which allowed BNB Chain to close a significant gap and take the lead. Since stablecoin holder growth reflects actual wallet adoption rather than just speculative trading volume, it is one of the best measures of blockchain activity.

Since stablecoins are the main settlement asset in centralized exchanges, decentralized finance, and payments, their distribution is a crucial indicator of network utility.

According to the most recent rankings, Ethereum has about 26 million stablecoin holders, with Celo coming in second with 24.5 million and Polygon with 21.7 million. Despite consistent growth throughout 2026, Base, Solana, and Arbitrum are still far behind the two market leaders.

The larger BNB Chain ecosystem, especially decentralized apps and on-chain liquidity, may eventually benefit from the growing number of stablecoin users. As liquidity becomes more easily distributed throughout the network, a larger stablecoin user base typically generates more opportunities for the whole infrastructure.

However, BNB’s price has not accurately reflected the network milestone. After recovering from its June correction for a few months, the token is still trading at about $586. With BNB regaining both the 20-day and 50-day moving averages, the chart has improved technically compared to earlier in the summer.

First barrier to break

In the vicinity of $602, the asset is for now testing the 100-day moving average, which is the first significant barrier to a wider recovery. Additionally, momentum has slightly increased. The fact that the RSI has risen above 53 suggests that buyers have regained some control without driving the market into overbought territory.

The comparatively low trading volume suggests that investors are holding off on taking larger positions until they have confirmation. The next technical goal would probably be the 200-day moving average at about $647 if BNB is able to break above the 100-day moving average.
