Robinhood Markets is expanding its crypto business in the UK, giving eligible customers access to more than 50 cryptocurrencies through its main investment app. The rollout includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Hyperliquid, adding digital assets alongside stocks, ISAs, options, and futures.

Robinhood stock was trading at $93.82, up about 0.43%, during active trading. The company’s UK crypto launch comes as Robinhood continues building a broader investment platform that combines traditional financial products with digital assets.

Robinhood Launches Crypto Trading in the UK

Robinhood has started rolling out cryptocurrency trading to eligible UK customers through Bitstamp UK. The service allows users to trade more than 50 digital assets within the same app used for other investment products.

The launch provides crypto trading with zero trading fees, while customers will not pay account maintenance or custody fees. However, Robinhood charges a 0.1% foreign exchange fee, which can rise to 0.3% for certain weekend conversions.

Cryptocurrency services are provided through Bitstamp UK Ltd, which is registered with the UK Financial Conduct Authority as a crypto asset service provider. Crypto holdings through the service are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme or the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Robinhood UK President Jordan Sinclair said, “A new wave of UK investors sees digital assets as an important part of a diversified portfolio.” He added that the launch was another step toward making Robinhood an all-in-one investment platform for UK customers.

Robinhood Adds Bitcoin, XRP and Other Crypto Assets

The UK rollout gives customers access to more than 50 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Hyperliquid. The service expands Robinhood’s digital asset offering after the company announced plans to bring crypto trading to UK customers earlier this year.

External crypto transfers are not available at launch. Robinhood said additional features are expected to be added to the UK service as the platform develops.

The UK launch adds digital asset trading to Robinhood’s existing range of investment products. The company has also continued expanding Bitstamp within its wider crypto business after acquiring the exchange.

Robinhood is also introducing Cortex Digests for Crypto, a generative AI feature designed to explain daily price movements. The tool reviews breaking news, market data, technical indicators and Robinhood’s own insights when producing information about individual crypto assets.

The company said the feature is designed to help customers understand market movements rather than simply encourage trading. The service will initially accompany the UK crypto rollout as Robinhood expands its digital asset tools.

Robinhood’s UK crypto expansion follows a period of broader business growth. The company reported $100 million in crypto transaction revenue for the second quarter, down 38% from a year earlier, while prediction-market revenue reached $156 million.

Total net revenue rose 32% year over year to $1.31 billion, while net income reached $573 million. The UK crypto launch adds another product to Robinhood’s growing financial platform as the company continues expanding its digital asset business.
