WEEX today announced a major upgrade to its Copy Trading feature, introducing a new suite of data — rankings, trading style tags, multi-period performance, and risk metrics — designed to help users choose an elite trader based on how they trade, not just how much they’ve made.
TL;DR
- WEEX Copy Trading has been rebuilt from the homepage to the lead trader profile, with new rankings, trading tags, multi-period data, Daily Picks, and a two-step onboarding flow for first-time followers.
- Four new leaderboards — Trending, Best Performer, Top ROI, and Stable Earner — let you find lead traders by the criteria that matter to you.
- New trading tags surface each trader’s style at a glance: asset focus, trade frequency, leverage habits, and drawdown risk.
- AUM and Max Drawdown give you a fuller risk picture than return rate alone.
- 7/30/90/180-day views let you compare short-term spikes against longer-term consistency.
- Daily Picks and a guided two-step setup make it easier to get started — without pretending to predict what happens next.

Return Rate Alone Was Never the Full Story
Until now, choosing an elite trader mostly meant looking at three numbers: return rate, total profit, and win rate. Useful, but incomplete. Two traders with near-identical returns can be running very different books — one holding low-leverage positions over weeks, the other running high-leverage trades in and out within hours. Same headline number, very different risk.
WEEX has just added the context that was missing: how a trader actually trades, and how their results have held up over time — not just what they’ve made.
Four Leaderboards, Four Ways to Look
Instead of one generic ranking, WEEX Copy Trading now offers four:
- Trending: traders with a large and fast-growing follower base over the past 7 days. Reflects current attention, not future returns.
- Best Performer: ranked by a blend of trader return, follower return, and win rate over the past 30 days, for a more rounded view than any single metric.
- Top ROI: traders with strong historical total returns who are still actively trading in the last 30 days; inactive accounts drop out of the ranking rather than sitting on it indefinitely.
- Stable Earner: traders with a high win rate over the past 30 days, filtered by minimum trade count and active days, for followers who prioritize consistency over spikes.
Every elite trader’s card and profile now carries tags generated from their trading history — including asset focus (e.g., “BTCД), frequency (“Frequent”), leverage tendency (“Low leverage” or “High leverage), and recent volatility (“High drawdown”).
Tags are descriptive, not predictive — they help you understand a trader’s pattern, not guarantee how they’ll perform going forward.
More Data, A Fuller Picture of Risk
Return rate tells you what a trader made. It doesn’t tell you how bumpy the ride was to get there — and that’s exactly the gap this update closes. Two additions round out the risk picture:
- AUM (Assets Under Management) — the total copy-trading capital currently following a given trader. It shows scale, not skill.
- Max Drawdown — the largest peak-to-trough decline in a trader’s account equity over the selected period. It’s often a better lens on real volatility than looking at any single losing trade.
Every trader’s return rate, profit, win rate, trade count, max drawdown, and equity curve can now be viewed across 7, 30, 90, and 180-day windows, so a hot short-term streak can be checked against longer-term consistency before you decide to follow.
More data points, one goal: helping you see the full picture before your capital follows someone else’s.
Daily Picks and a Simpler First Follow
A new “Daily Picks” entry point on the Copy Trading homepage surfaces a curated set of elite traders once a day (with an option to mute it for a week if you’d rather browse on your own). It’s a discovery shortcut, not a recommendation. First-time followers are also guided through two quick setup steps — how much to allocate, and whether to copy by fixed amount or fixed ratio — with advanced settings available for anyone who wants finer control. Both the Daily Picks prompt and the onboarding flow can be skipped entirely.
How to Try the New Copy Trade Features
Ready to put this new level of insight to use? Getting started takes just a few taps.
- Open the WEEX App or web platform and go to Copy Trading.
- From the homepage, browse the leaderboards, the full trader list, or Daily Picks to explore lead traders.
- Tap into any trader’s profile to review their tags, equity curve, and max drawdown.
- Once you’ve found a fit, tap “Copy” to set your principal and copy mode, and you’re ready to go.
From here on, every decision to follow a trader is backed by more than just a headline return rate — it’s backed by the full picture.
Disclaimer: Copy trading does not guarantee profit. Return rate, win rate, max drawdown, tags, and leaderboard rankings are all based on historical data and are not indicative of future performance. Actual results may differ from what’s shown, due to market volatility, allocated capital, copy ratio, slippage, fees, and risk-control rules. A high return, popularity, or large follower count does not mean lower risk. Set your copy-trading amount based on your own financial situation and risk tolerance.
