Luke Combs recently wrapped his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour, ending the international affair in the United Kingdom. The country superstar played multiple massive dates in those nations, and proved himself to be one of the most successful country acts in a territory that is rarely associated with the genre.
Following several nights at Wembley Stadium in London, Combs surges in a major way on various charts throughout the U.K. When it comes to songs, several favorites return, while a handful of classics from his discography become bestsellers for the first time.
Luke Combs Debuts Three Songs as Bestsellers
Three Combs songs debut on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts this week. “Tell ’Em About Tonight” and “Beautiful Crazy” land side-by-side on both rankings, with the former narrowly outperforming the latter each time.
“Tell ’Em About Tonight” opens at Nos. 69 and 74 on the Official Singles Downloads and Official Singles Sales tallies, respectively. “Beautiful Crazy” starts one space lower on each list.
“Rethink Some Things” also breaks onto the same pair of rosters, though it begins its time on the purchase-only rankings further south. The tune debuts at No. 84 on the downloads list and No. 88 on the more all-encompassing sales ranking.
Luke Combs Tunes Reach New Sales Chart Peaks
As those three songs debut, “Where the Wild Things Are” rises to new high points on both sales charts. The track only debuted on those lists last week, and it wastes no time improving its standing.
“Where the Wild Things Are” jumps from No. 82 to No. 57 on the Official Singles Downloads chart. It enjoys an even larger gain on the Official Singles Sales roster, where it rockets from No. 89 to No. 60.
Luke Combs Reaches the Top 40 With a Classic
“Where the Wild Things Are” also returns to the Official Singles chart, the main ranking of the most-consumed songs in the U.K. The tally – which is hugely competitive – combines streaming activity and purchases of individual tracks to determine the biggest tunes in the nation.
Combs’s hit reenters at No. 37, breaking into the top 40 in only its third frame on the list. That placement also marks a new peak, and “Where the Wild Things Are” reaches a never-before-seen high on all three U.K. charts where it currently appears.
Luke Combs Sees Several More Hits Return in the U.K.
“Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma” and “My Kinda Saturday Night” both bound back onto the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts this week. The former reenters the two lists at Nos. 73 and 68, respectively. “My Kinda Saturday Night” comes back at No. 80 on the sales tally and No. 76 on the downloads ranking. “My Kinda Saturday Night,” which shares its name with the now-completed concert tour, returns to its previously-set high on the latter rundown.
“Fast Car” also returns to the Official Singles Downloads chart, though only barely. Combs’s cover of Tracy Chapman’s classic reappears in last place at No. 100.
Luke Combs Charts Six Albums
Almost as many albums by Combs appear on the U.K. charts this week, as six of his projects find space on at least one ranking. The Way I Am remains his strongest overall performer, and it lives on half a dozen tallies and climbs on most of them. This One’s for You reaches new peaks on both the Official Albums and Official Albums Streaming charts, while What You See Is What You Get also steps up to a new high on the streaming roster. Three additional efforts – Growin’ Up, Gettin’ Old and Fathers & Sons – are also winners once again in the U.K.
