According to a recent report from CryptoQuant, Binance’s XRP realized volatility has dropped notably, signaling a rather bullish outlook for the market.

Per the on-chain data, XRP’s 30-day realized volatility dropped to around 0.34, the lowest level recorded in three months. The new development was observed as XRP traded at $1.07 at the time of the report.

Cryptoquant interprets the decline as a reflection of a significant drop in daily price volatility, further suggesting that the market is on track to record relative calm. This comes not long after heightened volatility levels were recorded in June.

It bears mentioning that periods of lower volatility are often associated with reduced short-term speculative activity and a drop in market panic- or greed-driven trading. Additionally, this period highlights a temporary balance between market sellers and buyers as prices trend even more subdued before the next catalyst that determines the market’s direction arrives.

It bears mentioning that lower volatility is not a sufficient determinant for whether the market will turn bullish or bearish.

As the report reads;

“Although lower volatility does not, by itself, signal a bullish or bearish trend, it often precedes a period of increased price activity. History shows that markets rarely remain calm for extended periods, with volatility often expanding in response to major news, stronger trading volumes, or shifts in investor sentiment.”

Cryptoquant reports that XRP is trading at 0.34, suggesting it is in a more stable environment than in recent months. As such, investors have an opportunity to examine broader market trends without worrying about intense price swings.

Notably, if this period of subdued volatility persists, the chances of the market recording a significant move, whether upward or downward, could increase, especially if followed by higher trading volumes or notable changes in derivatives market activity.

At report time, XRP, up 1.04% in the last 24 hours, is valued at $1.01 per coin.
