  • Binance will stop transactions with 11 crypto platforms from August 23, citing regulatory changes.
  • Users transacting with affected platforms could face held funds and compliance reviews.
  • Binance has already restricted 16 platforms in August as global sanctions expand.

Binance is cutting ties with 11 more crypto platforms. Starting August 23, 2026, the exchange will stop processing any transaction linked to these platforms.

The 11 Platforms

  1. Rapira
  2. Aifory Pro (Sooty Ltd)
  3. ABCeX
  4. WhiteBird
  5. NoOnecrypto
  6. Tradex (Brightum LLC)
  7. Monease Ltd
  8. BitPapa
  9. Exnode / Exnode Pay
  10. HTX (formerly Huobi)
  11. EXMO Ltd

This follows two earlier rounds of restrictions this month. Binance already blocked Shelbit and Aban Tether Exchange on August 7, and A7 Nigeria, A7 Africa, and PilotFinance on August 13.

Why Is This Happening?

Binance says the move is due to “recent regulatory developments”. In July, the European Union adopted a sanctions package targeting platforms linked to Russia. Several names on Binance’s list match that EU package almost word for word.

HTX faces added pressure. The EU named it in its sanctions round, and the UK froze the assets of the company behind it in May over alleged ties to Russian payment networks.

Binance

Essentially, this isn’t Binance acting alone. It’s an exchange responding to government sanctions by pre-emptively cutting off the sanctioned platforms.

Does This Affect You?

It depends on whether you send or receive funds involving any of these 11 platforms through Binance. If you don’t interact with them, nothing changes.

For example, if you regularly move funds between Binance and HTX, or use EXMO or BitPapa, you need to pay attention.

What Happens if You Transact Anyway After August 23?

Binance says any transaction attempted with a listed platform on or after the effective date “may be held for compliance review.” Here’s what that means in plain terms:

  • “Held” means your funds don’t move right away. They get frozen while Binance checks the transaction.
  • Compliance review is Binance’s internal process for checking whether a transaction breaks sanctions rules or its own Terms of Use.
  • Binance has also warned that wallets involved in these transactions could face further restrictions while the review is ongoing. That could mean your whole account, not just the one transaction, gets limited.

Binance hasn’t given a fixed timeline for how long a review takes. That uncertainty is the real risk here, as your funds could sit locked for an unclear period.

What To Do Before August 23

  • Check your transaction history. See if you’ve sent or received funds from any of the 11 platforms recently.
  • Finish pending transfers now. If you have funds moving to or from one of these platforms, complete it before August 23.
  • Don’t attempt new transactions with these platforms after the deadline. Even a small transfer could trigger a wallet freeze.
  • Watch for Binance notifications. If your wallet is flagged, Binance will likely reach out directly.

This is part of an ongoing trend. Exchanges are under pressure from regulators to cut off platforms linked to sanctioned entities. Binance has now restricted 16 platforms in August alone, across three separate effective dates. More rounds like this are likely as global sanctions lists keep expanding.

If you use multiple exchanges or smaller regional platforms, it’s worth checking sanctions lists periodically, not just when Binance sends a notice.
