TLDR
- Bitcoin trades around $63,000 and remains the benchmark for the crypto market
- Ethereum fell below $1,900 but U.S. ETFs pulled in $103.9 million in a single week
- Solana boosted block capacity to 100 million compute units and trades near $75
- Chainlink rallied toward $10 following new integrations and an agent platform launch
- Hyperliquid gained roughly 154% in the first half of 2026
The crypto market has had a rough stretch, but falling prices can open doors for long-term investors. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Chainlink and Hyperliquid are five digital assets worth putting on your radar right now.
Bitcoin: The Market Benchmark
Bitcoin is still the foundation of any crypto portfolio. It has the largest network, the strongest brand recognition and the deepest institutional backing of any digital asset.

BTC recently traded around $63,000. Weaker liquidity and broader market uncertainty have pushed prices lower, but that weakness may attract buyers who see Bitcoin as a long-term store of value.
Bitcoin does not offer the explosive upside of smaller projects. But it carries far less project-specific risk, making it the asset everything else in crypto is measured against.
Ethereum: Institutional Interest Remains Strong
Ethereum powers decentralized finance, stablecoins, tokenization, NFTs and thousands of decentralized apps. It is the most widely used smart contract blockchain in the world.
ETH fell below $1,900 during the latest market dip. Still, institutional demand held up. U.S. Ethereum ETFs pulled in $103.9 million during the week ending July 24, leading all crypto ETF inflows for that period.
The combination of developer activity, network effects and institutional adoption keeps Ethereum near the top of the list for long-term investors.
Solana: Fast, Cheap and Still Growing
Solana competes directly with Ethereum, especially for apps that need fast and low-cost transactions. The network recently raised its block capacity to 100 million compute units.
The ecosystem is expanding across payments, tokenized assets and cross-chain applications. SOL was trading near $75 in mid-August, well below its previous peaks.
That gap between current prices and prior highs creates a potential opportunity for investors who believe in the project’s long-term growth.
Chainlink: The Infrastructure Play
Chainlink connects blockchains with real-world data and enables assets and information to move across different networks. It is a core piece of infrastructure for the growing tokenization market.
LINK rallied toward $10 in mid-August after new CCIP integrations and the beta launch of Chainlink for Agents. These developments show the project is still actively expanding.
If tokenized assets become a major part of finance, Chainlink stands to benefit as one of the key infrastructure providers behind the scenes.
Hyperliquid: High Risk, High Reward
Hyperliquid is the most speculative name on this list. The decentralized perpetual-futures platform has grown quickly, with HYPE gaining roughly 154% in the first half of 2026.
That kind of growth comes with high expectations. Future token unlocks and regulatory uncertainty add risk that investors need to factor in.
Still, Hyperliquid shows that decentralized trading platforms can compete directly with centralized crypto exchanges.
