SKHY stock is climbing in premarket trading on Monday as SK Hynix joins the rally across memory-chip stocks. New disclosures also recently shed some light on the company’s exposure to the booming artificial intelligence infrastructure demand.
SK Hynix’s Nasdaq-listed American depositary receipts closed Friday at $166.33 after gaining 0.40% for the session. The stock then jumped to around $172.48 in Monday premarket trading, up another 3.7%, according to the latest market data.

The move follows a strong recovery in the memory sector. Micron gained around 3% before Monday’s opening bell, while SanDisk, Seagate and Western Digital also jumped. Sentiment received another boost after US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick reportedly discouraged Apple from sourcing memory chips from Chinese suppliers.
SK Hynix’s AI Business Remains the Main Story
Fresh financial disclosures are also giving investors another reason to watch SKHY stock.
SK Hynix’s semiannual report, which was filed Aug. 14, showed that the company generated 17.61 trillion won from a single external customer during the first half of 2026, representing 13.35% of total sales. The customer is understood to be Nvidia, SK Hynix’s biggest customer and a major buyer of the company’s high-bandwidth memory products.
US sales reached 84.56 trillion won, or 64.1% of SK Hynix’s first-half revenue. This number proves just how important American AI and data-center spending has become to the chipmaker.
SK Hynix is preparing for further growth. Its board recently approved 54.3 trillion won, roughly $38 billion, of additional semiconductor investment through 2031. The spending will expand DRAM, high-bandwidth memory and NAND production at facilities in Yongin and Cheongju.
What’s Next for SKHY Stock?
SKHY has recovered sharply after falling as low as $124.80 after its July earnings report, although it is below its post-Nasdaq-listing high of $194.80.
With the stock approaching $173 before Monday’s open, investors will now be watching whether improving memory-sector sentiment and AI infrastructure spending can push SKHY stock back toward its July highs.
