What to know:

  • BitGo Europe partners with AllUnity to offer three regulated fiat-backed stablecoins.
  • Institutional clients can directly mint and redeem EURAU, CHFAU, and SEKAU stablecoins.
  • AllUnity’s stablecoins offer one-to-one backing under the European Union’s MiCA rules.

BitGo Europe and German stablecoin issuer AllUnity revealed their collaboration on Aug. 17. The joint solution provides access to three regulated fiat-backed stablecoins tied to major European currencies through a single platform.

BitGo Europe acts as the initial buyer and an institutional liquidity provider. The list includes EURAU, CHFAU, and SEKAU, each pegged to the euro, Swiss franc, and Swedish krona, respectively.

The assets can be accessed by customers through AllUnity’s Business Mint Account. The integration will connect AllUnity’s issuance system with BitGo’s custody, trading, and over-the-counter infrastructure.

Why BitGo Europe Is Expanding Institutional Stablecoin Liquidity

BitGo Europe will mint all the three tokens directly via AllUnity. Besides, the platform can redeem them into their fiat currency when needed by its customers.

The two companies noted that direct access will allow BitGo Europe to meet institutional liquidity requests. Further, they said that the token holdings could be redeemed into their corresponding fiat currency using AllUnity.

They further explained that the services will help in settlement, treasury management, and digital asset trading. For instance, AllUnity explained that the service provides real-time liquidity for suitable institutions.

However, neither of the two companies specified settlement periods, minimum transaction amount, service fees, or daily minting limits for the tokens. The Aug. 17 press release did not give this information.

EURAU was introduced in July 2025 as a token pegged against the euro. AllUnity says that eligible customers can redeem it at par, while the euro reserve follows a multi-bank approach.

CHFAU is a token pegged against the Swiss franc and operates in various blockchain systems. In August, AllUnity reported that total value locked had reached nearly 50 million Swiss francs after being deployed in the Solana network.

How MiCA Regulates AllUnity Stablecoins and BitGo Europe

In SEKAU, the reserve value is in the Swedish krona. SEKAU was introduced in five blockchain networks that include Ethereum, Solana, Base, Tempo, and Polygon.

AllUnity claims that each of the stablecoins will be one-for-one backed in the respective currencies. MiCA white papers detail the reserves, redemption rights, and risks of each asset.

The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority of Germany awarded an electronic money institution license to AllUnity in July 2025. The license allows AllUnity to issue e-money tokens based on EU MiCA regulations.

E-money token holders have a statutory right to redeem the tokens according to MiCA regulations. AllUnity’s conditions permit redemption of the tokens at any time provided the account is verified.

BitGo Europe is a crypto asset service provider registered under MiCA in Germany. In addition, it is required to comply with the German Anti-Money Laundering regulations when providing services to European crypto firms.

What BitGo Requires From Institutional Clients

Institutional users must onboard themselves and comply with jurisdictional and compliance obligations to access the platform. Both firms stated that the integrated platform was immediately available for eligible institutions as of August 17.

The announcement did not reveal the blockchain networks that are supported within BitGo’s interface. None of the two companies revealed a timeline for chain integration.

The announcement did not reveal any figures related to minting, redemptions, or account numbers. Neither have they set any objectives for circulation or liquidity through this partnership.

Furthermore, the custodian has launched regulated infrastructure for the crypto firms operating in Europe. This partnership adds three AllUnity-issued currency tokens to that wider regional institutional offering.
