Key Insights:

  • Binance news shows that it will delist ICX, SCRT, and STORJ from spot trading on September 3.
  • The three altcoins face earlier deadlines across Binance Futures, Margin, Earn, and other services.
  • CZ says US access for Hyperliquid could open the door for more crypto platforms and services.

Binance news has put three altcoins in focus after Binance said it will delist ICX, SCRT, and STORJ on September 3, while founder Changpeng Zhao reacted to US plans involving Hyperliquid and said wider access could benefit crypto. The move gives traders several dates to watch as key dates get closer.

Binance News Puts Three Altcoins On Delisting List

Binance has announced that it will remove ICON (ICX), Secret (SCRT), and Storj (STORJ) from all spot trading pairs on September 3 at 03:00 UTC. The exchange said the decision followed its latest review of the three projects.

According to Binance, its review looks at several areas before a token is removed. These include the project team’s commitment, development activity, trading volume and liquidity, network safety, public communication, community engagement, and response to due diligence requests.

The exchange also considers possible fraud or negligence, new rules, changes to token supply or tokenomics, changes in project ownership or core team members, and community sentiment. Binance did not give a separate reason for each of the three tokens.

The spot trading pairs will be removed once trading stops, and open trade orders will be canceled automatically. Binance also said Trading Bots for the affected pairs will end at the same time.

Altcoins Face Several Binance Deadlines

The impact on these altcoins starts before the main September 3 deadline. Binance Spot Copy Trading will delist the pairs on August 27 at 03:00 UTC. Any outstanding assets will then be force-sold at market price or moved to the Spot Account if they cannot be sold.

Futures users also face an earlier date. Binance Futures will close positions and settle the affected contracts automatically on August 26 at 09:00 UTC. New positions cannot be opened from 08:30 UTC that day.

Margin services will suspend borrowing on August 21 at 06:00 UTC, before the tokens are removed from Cross, Isolated and Portfolio Margin on August 26 at 10:00 UTC. Binance said users should close positions or move assets before the scheduled delisting to avoid possible losses.

Other Binance services are also affected. Simple Earn will delist the tokens after August 27 at 07:00 UTC, while Binance Pay will remove them on August 26 at 03:00 UTC. Binance Convert will delist them on September 3 at 02:00 UTC.

Deposits will stop being credited after September 4 at 03:00 UTC, while withdrawals will remain available until November 3 at 03:00 UTC. Notably, Binance said the tokens may later be converted into stablecoins, although such conversion is not guaranteed.

Binance News And CZ Weigh In On US Crypto Policy

Binance news update comes as CZ, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, has also commented on the US crypto market. Crypto Banter reported that he reacted to the Trump administration’s push to bring Hyperliquid into the United States in a fully compliant way.

CZ said the move could be positive for the wider crypto industry, not just Hyperliquid. He pointed to the possibility that more perpetual DEXs and other decentralized services could become available to American users.

That view adds a separate US policy angle to the Binance news story. While Binance is removing three altcoins from its platform, CZ is pointing to what he sees as a wider opening for decentralized crypto services in the United States.

The wider Binance market activity also drew attention. A post by market influencer Spigg said that Binance recorded $14.6 billion in 24-hour trading volume, compared with about $4 billion the previous day, which CoinGecko data also confirmed.

The post argued that the jump showed strong market conviction and that liquidity was moving toward the largest exchange. For holders, the immediate concern is Binance’s timetable across services.
