- Volatile Shiba Inu background
- Outflows decelerate
Exchange outflows at Shiba Inu recently saw a significant decline, with the metric dropping by about 42% before rising by the time of writing. The rebound itself is still insufficient to alter the more comprehensive understanding of SHIB’s exchange activity, even though the normalization alleviates some of the immediate concern.
Volatile Shiba Inu background
According to the most recent data, exchange outflows totaled about 172.06 billion SHIB, an increase of just 0.78% over the previous 24 hours. While netflow is still positive at around 28.79 billion SHIB, exchange inflows are higher at about 200.85 billion SHIB. This balance is more important than the previous 42% decline on its own. A decrease in exchange outflows indicates that fewer tokens are being taken out of trading platforms.
When inflows continue to be higher, more SHIB may be entering exchanges than leaving them, which could be detrimental. Those tokens theoretically have a higher chance of reaching the liquid market. But as of right now, there is not enough data to declare this a significant sell-off.
Although the most recent increase of less than 1% is still negligible, outflows have already returned to normal from their previous 42% decline. At the same time, exchange reserves rose by just 0.03%, while inflows increased by just 0.61%. Therefore, rather than a sudden rush to exchanges, the data indicates relatively mild changes. Additional insight is provided by the seven-day mean exchange outflow metric.
The fact that it is currently up 96% indicates that the average withdrawal size has increased significantly in comparison to the prior reading. This lessens the potential for a pessimistic interpretation based on the earlier drop in total outflows. The price structure of SHIB remains unstable, however.
Outflows decelerate
The token is currently trading at $0.00000510 and is still below its 200-day moving average, which is located at $0.00000571. In the meantime, the closest significant support remains the $0.00000500 area. The argument for increased selling pressure would be much stronger if SHIB lost that level and exchange inflows started to accelerate significantly faster than outflows.
As of right now, the earlier 42% decline in outflows has mostly returned to normal. However, exchange activity does not yet offer a compelling bullish confirmation either, with inflows continuing to outpace outflows and the recovery in total withdrawals remaining marginal.
