BlackRock attracted more than $1.5 billion into its Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) exchange-traded funds (ETFs) over the five trading sessions ending August 28.

The asset manager’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) recorded net inflows of $938.3 million during the period, while its Ethereum funds, ETHA and ETHB, drew a combined $644.3 million. Together, the products attracted $1.58 billion in fresh capital in just one week.

The strong inflows came as cryptocurrency ETFs continued one of their best stretches of 2026.

Bitcoin funds completed a nine-day inflow streak that brought in billions of dollars before a brief pause on August 28, while Ethereum ETFs extended their own run of positive flows.

BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF remained the primary destination for institutional capital throughout the week. To this end, IBIT attracted $208.9 million on August 24, followed by inflows of $284.4 million, $200.8 million and $277.6 million over the next three sessions.

Although the fund recorded a $33.4 million outflow on August 28, it still finished the week with $938.3 million in net inflows.

The scale of demand was evident on August 27, when IBIT attracted $277.6 million, exceeding the total net inflows recorded by the entire U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF market that day after competing funds experienced outflows.

The inflows coincided with a strong recovery in Bitcoin’s price. The cryptocurrency climbed above $80,000 for the first time in more than three months before retreating toward the upper-$70,000 range amid profit-taking.

Ethereum strong ETF inflows

Meanwhile, ETHA and ETHB attracted a combined $644.3 million between August 24 and August 28, accounting for the majority of inflows into U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs. The strongest session came on August 27, when the funds brought in $150.9 million.

The sustained buying reflects growing institutional interest in Ethereum. Data shows BlackRock’s ETHA has attracted more than $1 billion in inflows over a nine-session buying streak, making it the dominant Ethereum ETF in the U.S. market.

Ethereum’s price has also strengthened alongside the inflow trend. The asset traded around the $2,400 to $2,500 range after posting a sharp rebound from its August lows.

The latest figures suggest institutional investors continue increasing exposure to digital assets through regulated investment vehicles.

While Bitcoin ETFs briefly ended a nine-session inflow streak on August 28, overall demand remained resilient, with BlackRock capturing a significant share of capital entering both Bitcoin and Ethereum products.
