Stablecoins are moving beyond cryptocurrency trading, and the latest funding round of Felix Pago is an example of how quickly stablecoins are penetrating the world of global payment systems.
The stablecoin remittance company has raised $200 million in Series B funding as the company tries to expand its range of financial services.
According to Bloomberg, the funding round includes $87 million in equity investment and $113 million in a credit facility.

$200 Million Financing Raised for Felix Pago
As reported by Bloomberg, the funding includes equity financing from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), with an additional $113 million in a credit facility provided by General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund.
Felix Pago runs a remittance platform in Latin America using the stablecoin model. In its operations, WhatsApp is used as the user interface, with settlement handled through USDC and blockchain infrastructure.
This helps make cross-border remittances from the U.S. to Mexico faster and potentially cheaper.


Stablecoins Facilitate Felix Pago’s Growth Potential
With the additional funding, Felix Pago could possibly venture into new territories other than those of its existing remittance service.
According to information attributed to Bloomberg and shared by Wu Blockchain, the company has processed more than $8 billion in remittances and plans to expand its services into lending and savings.
Moreover, the company is planning to create an AI-driven financial assistant, indicating that Felix’s intention is to create a more encompassing financial services platform based on its stablecoin payments network.
