GoMining Academy has released its third free educational course, a beginner-level introduction to blockchain technology and cryptocurrency that requires no prior knowledge, according to information shared with Finbold on September 2, 2026.

The course spans eight lessons and roughly 80 minutes of video content, walking learners through the foundational concepts behind how blockchain works, why it was created, and how it differs from traditional financial systems.

Topics covered include decentralized networks, Proof of Work and Proof of Stake, Bitcoin (BTC), altcoins, stablecoins, smart contracts, wallets, private keys, NFTs, and tokens.

The course also touches on real-world blockchain applications beyond currency, energy consumption associated with mining, and lessons drawn from the NFT market, including scenarios where blockchain may not be the right solution.

Course targets crypto owners and newcomers who want to understand the technology

The offering is aimed at three audiences: people who already hold cryptocurrency but want a clearer grasp of the technology behind it, existing GoMining users seeking broader context, and newcomers regularly encountering terms like Web3, smart contracts, and tokens without a clear understanding of what they mean.

Each lesson is available in video, text, and audio formats, with subtitles offered in seven languages including English, Arabic, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Russian. Lessons are followed by short comprehension checks, and a 10-question final test awaits at the end, with a minimum score of eight correct answers required to earn a completion certificate.

The Academy has attracted over 740,000 learners since launch, with more than 194,000 completing at least one course. Across its existing catalogue, learners have submitted more than 105,000 ratings, averaging 4.8 out of 5. The new course expands the Academy’s offering beyond its existing focus on GoMining and Bitcoin mining to cover the wider crypto ecosystem.

The course is free to access and does not require a GoMining account to read lessons, though users must sign in to save progress, sit the final test, and receive a certificate.
