Three trading education and community events involving Versus Trade and local partners took place across Malaysia and Thailand in August 2026, bringing together live market education, systematic trading and face-to-face interaction with local trading communities.
The series began in Malaysia on August 7-8 with a two-day Live Trade & Live Education partner event. On August 15, activity moved to Bangkok, where Versus Trade and Indy Trader held a joint educational seminar at Indy Trader Academy, while Andromeda and Versus Trade collaborated on Round 2 of the Trading System Workshop 2026.
The three events shared an educational focus but followed different formats, reflecting how brokers, educators and local partners are experimenting with more market-specific approaches to trader engagement across Southeast Asia.
Live Markets in Malaysia, Two Education Formats in Thailand
Around 50 participants joined the two-day Live Trade & Live Education event in Malaysia. The program covered CFD trading fundamentals and psychology before moving into live trading around the US Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) release, allowing participants to follow market movements and discuss trading decisions as a major economic event unfolded.
Q&A sessions and networking were also part of the program, creating direct interaction between traders, IBs and representatives of Versus Trade and its local partner. The format also reflected the role of the Introducing Broker program in Malaysia, where local IBs connect the broker with traders in the market.
Thailand followed with two events on August 15. The first saw Versus Trade collaborate with Indy Trader, a Thai trading education institution that has been active for more than a decade and focuses on systematic trading, market education and risk management. The hybrid seminar at Indy Trader Academy combined an in-person session with online participation and focused on practical market knowledge and experience sharing.
Later that day, the Andromeda × Versus Trade Trading System Workshop 2026 took a more technical approach. Held at SVL House in Bangkok, the session covered systematic trading from concept to real-world application, including risk management, a live demonstration and the launch of Sentinel EA by AJ. Ton.
The events shared a common feature: education was delivered alongside local partners already working directly with their respective trading communities.
Why Trading Engagement in Southeast Asia Is Becoming More Local
Southeast Asia is often discussed as a single growth region, but its trading communities differ considerably between markets, from how traders access education to how they interact with educators and brokers. Many traders in the region start out trading online, so in-person sessions give brokers and educators a way to build on relationships that begin on digital channels. This is giving local partnerships (from education tie-ups to Forex affiliate programs) a more visible role alongside digital acquisition, with seminars, workshops and smaller community events allowing brokers and educators to adapt their approach to specific audiences rather than replicate the same format across countries.
The August series provides one example. In Malaysia, the focus was live markets and the NFP release; Indy Trader’s Bangkok seminar centred on broader practical education; while the Andromeda workshop moved deeper into systematic trading and technology.
