  • Oppenheimer refreshes its SpaceX stock price target from $250 to $280.
  • Rapid infrastructure expansion, vertically integrated AI platform and other factors are responsible for the improved sentiment.
  • SPCX stock price breaks 8-day streak despite the refreshed price target.

Quite a few SpaceX stock price predictions have popped up over the last few months. As expected, considering that it is one of the most watched stocks and its high-profile nature, investors are wondering how high it could go.

The SpaceX stock price achieved a significant recovery in August, and this boosted investor optimism. This recovery and other factors underpin some of the latest SpaceX price predictions.

Investment banking and financial services company Oppenheimer has reportedly revised its short-term SpaceX price prediction. The company’s previous price target for the short term was $250, but it has now been lifted to $280.

Such price target revisions usually underscore short-term confidence. Even more important are the reasons behind the improved targets.

Analyst Reveals Key Reasons Behind Oppenheimer’s Improved SpaceX Stock Price Target

Oppenheimer’s SpaceX stock price revision goes beyond the recent price recovery. Analysts have expressed confidence in the company’s AI business as a key driver of growth.

Oppenheimer senior analyst Tim Horan pointed out key factors such as SpaceX’s rapid infrastructure expansion. He also believes that SpaceX’s access to Nvidia GPUs and its in-house-built AI stack could boost investor sentiment.

Beyond Oppenheimer’s adjusted SPCX stock price target, healthy demand across the markets is also an important factor. This is especially true of the on-chain tokenized equities market, which has driven robust volumes over the last few months.

The number of investors holding tokenized equities is now growing at an exponential pace. For context, there were only 46,000 holders in September 2025, and that figure jumped to 1.9 million 12 months later.

The aggressive growth in the number of equity holders reflects expanded access enabled by tokenization. This has enabled easier participation in US stock markets, especially for investors outside the US.

This expanded access may translate into more liquidity entering the market than in the pre-tokenization era. Moreover, the SPCX stock is among the few of the latest IPOs that have injected excitement into the market.

This excitement means companies like SpaceX are fresh entries into the public trading space. They are thus more likely to absorb liquidity than stocks that have been publicly traded for longer.

SpaceX Could Benefit From Leasing Its AI Compute

SpaceX’s short-term revenue prospects just improved thanks to recent statements from its CEO Elon Musk. He recently remarked that major players in the AI segment, such as Anthropic and Google, may lease SpaceX’s AI compute.

The statement suggests that demand for AI compute is rising faster than Google and Anthropic data centers can handle. However, SpaceX has been rapidly expanding its data centers. This is why Elon Musk believes that it could end up lending its AI computing capacity.

If that happens, then it could boost the company’s revenue. This could be yet another reason behind the SPCX stock price sentiment.

Speaking of which, SpaceX stock price has been on a steady uptrend since 21 August. It delivered 8 consecutive daily candles, from as low as $131 to as high as $145.

However, the SpaceX stock price kicked off Wednesday’s trading session on the bearish side. It slid to $140 at press time, but the recent momentum was not as aggressive as in the second week of August.
