US Bitcoin ETFs See $731M Inflows, Largest Since January

U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs recorded $730.9 million in net inflows on September 3, 2026, their largest single-day intake since January 14, according to SoSoValue data cited by The Block. The reading marked a sharp single-session show of demand and extended a strong run for the funds after their $3.5 billion inflow total in August.

The September 3 figure measures daily flows, whereas the August total covers a full month, making the two readings not directly comparable. Even so, together they show that the U.S. bitcoin ETF complex entered September after its strongest month since September 2025.

BlackRock’s IBIT led the September 3 inflow surge

BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for roughly $454 million of the day’s total inflow, according to CoinDesk. That made IBIT the dominant named contributor to the $730.9 million net inflow recorded across U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs.

Other funds also posted material additions. The ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF, ARKB, brought in $138 million, while Fidelity’s FBTC recorded $74 million in net inflows on September 3.

The concentration in IBIT is important context for the headline total: the session reflected broad positive flows among the named products, but BlackRock’s fund supplied the largest share of the reported intake.

September’s largest day follows strongest month since September 2025

U.S. bitcoin funds attracted a combined $3.5 billion in August 2026, their strongest monthly showing since September 2025, The Block reported. The monthly result provides the immediate backdrop to the largest daily net inflow since January 14.

Although September 3’s $730.9 million result does not establish whether the pace will persist through the rest of the month, it places September’s opening stretch against a notably stronger recent flow backdrop than the funds had seen since September 2025.

Waller’s dovish comments preceded the risk-asset inflow

The September 3 session brought $730.9 million in net inflows to U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs. Roughly $454 million was attributed to BlackRock’s IBIT.

The move came after Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller made comments interpreted as dovish and supportive of risk assets, according to The Block.

The sequence is reported as market context rather than evidence that Waller’s comments caused the ETF flows.
