Shiba Inu community has spotted a subtle update from Shiba Inu lead ambassador Shytoshi Kusama, who appears to have changed the location on his X profile to “close.”
Kusama’s previous location on X was “backlog, Marketing and positioning.” He also changed his X bio from ‘Pure focus: AI App/site: ROS Finishing touches: Beta website complete. Final bug pass’ to ‘Polish.’
This seemingly small change has drawn attention from the SHIB community, with prominent Shiba Inu community members, Kuro and Mazrael, highlighting it in their respective X posts. However, the Shiba Inu lead ambassador has yet to provide further clues explaining the update or its meaning, as he remains silent on X.
In a February 2026 livestream, Shytoshi Kusama unveiled a new AI-powered relationship platform that aims to help couples identify patterns, friction points, and long-term compatibility risks.
Kusama’s last X update before this new one suggested his project might be in the final stages toward a beta launch and was being vetted for bugs, although he did not state specifically which one.
The recent X location update to ‘close’ might suggest something coming; whether it is his project or another remains unknown. A change in his X bio to “polish” might suggest a development in its “polish” stage; the exact details remain unknown.
However, without an accompanying statement, it would be premature to attach a specific meaning to his recent X update.
Kusama continues to maintain a relatively low profile on social media, last posting or interacting on X on May 13, 2026. Amid his silence, even minor changes to his social media profile have quickly attracted attention from the Shiba Inu community, which is watching closely for whatever comes next.
Shiba Inu price
At the time of writing, SHIB was up 1.14% in the last 24 hours after reversing the prior day’s drop, as August jobs data came in far stronger than expected, with 162,000 jobs added. News of the latter saw expectations grow for a September rate cut, leading to a drop in most cryptocurrencies.
Shiba Inu is up almost 6% weekly, broadly bouncing back since the start of September from August’s 30-day low of $0.00000488.
