The Trump administration asked the Supreme Court to block a federal judge’s ruling on Friday barring the U.S. Postal Service from implementing a new rule that a whistleblower warned could “derail” voting in the midterm elections, claiming the controversial new rule does not “federalize” mail-in voting rules but only imposes “reasonable preparation requirements” on election mail.
