Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has officially announced another optimization of its spot market. Three altcoins have been caught in the cleanup: OPEN, SAGA and VELODROME. On September 11, 2026, at 03:00 UTC, the platform will completely stop trading the OPEN/FDUSD, SAGA/FDUSD and VELODROME/USDC pairs.
For the market, this is a classic scheduled cleanup. The exchange regularly monitors the liquidity and trading volumes of all instruments available on the platform. If traders lose interest in a particular pair, it is removed to avoid overcrowding the exchange’s order books and maintain the overall quality of the trading environment.
Such cleanups have become routine practice for Binance, which seeks to concentrate liquidity in the most popular markets.
There is no need to panic or start selling. This concerns only the removal of specific pairs with the FDUSD and USDC stablecoins, not the complete delisting of the projects themselves. The coins will remain available on the platform.
Traders will still be able to buy and sell them through other, more active alternative pairs, such as those against USDT or BTC. Historically, removing secondary pairs slightly reduces overall daily turnover but does not fundamentally affect the projects’ operations within their respective blockchain ecosystems.
Anatomy of a delisting: Why no one trades on these markets anymore
Spot market statistics clearly confirm the logic behind this delisting. Today, liquidity in FDUSD pairs has almost completely dried up outside the three main drivers: ETH, USDT and BTC.
Trading volumes for mid-cap altcoins paired with FDUSD have fallen to critical levels, accounting for a paltry 0.06%–0.14% of the stablecoin’s total trading volume, while daily turnover barely exceeds $100,000–$300,000, according to CoinMarketCap data.

Traders simply ignore these markets, which is why Binance is systematically getting rid of empty order books and redirecting global liquidity flows toward the United Stables (U) ecosystem on BNB Chain.
The only thing traders need to take care of in advance is their trading bots. When trading stops, Binance will automatically terminate Spot Trading Bots for these three pairs.
Grid Trading bot users should pay particular attention, as their pending orders may become stuck or be executed at off-market prices in the final minutes before the markets close. Such carelessness often leads to localized slippage and losses for no good reason.
