Michael Burry, a hedge fund manager and investor known for predicting the 2008 financial crash, has just updated his portfolio, with some notable new positions catching the market’s attention.

According to the updated positions discussed on the ‘Big Short’s’ Substack on September 4, Lululemon Athletica (NASDAQ: LULU) is now his biggest position, which he called ‘the trickster.’

“Today, Lululemon is the trickster in my portfolio. This time the trickster is my largest position, and it does seem determined to take me where mermaids fear to tread,” Burry wrote.

Unfortunately, the stock tumbled shortly after Burry published his post and is now down 12% on the five-day chart on September 9, following another disappointing quarterly results.

Lululemon, which accounts for roughly 17% of Burry’s portfolio, was followed by MercadoLibre (NASDAQ: MELI), which accounts for 12%. Molina Healthcare (NYSE: MOH) and Temple & Webster (ASX: TPW) were slightly lower positions, each representing about 9% of his holdings.

Notably, Burry also holds long positions in companies such as Adobe (NASDAQ: ADBE), Zoetis (NYSE: ZTS), HCA Healthcare (NYSE: HCA), PayPal (NASDAQ: PYPL), Birkenstock (NYSE: BIRK), and Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA), although that position is hedged.

On the short side, Burry’s largest positions include Micron (NASDAQ: MU), Nebius (NASDAQ: NBIS), CoreWeave (NASDAQ: CRWV), Oracle (NYSE: ORCL), and Palantir (NASDAQ: PLTR).

Overall, Burry’s short book has grown to more than 21% of the portfolio, excluding a put position in Invesco QQQ Trust, Series 1 (NASDAQ: QQQ). The latest reshuffling also shows him closing several bearish bets. For example, he covered his Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) and Applied Materials (NASDAQ: AMAT) shorts.

Overall, the changes in his portfolio highlight Burry’s continued preference for selectively owning individual companies while maintaining significant downside exposure to parts of the technology and broader equity markets.
