ALPHA DRIVE ONE spent this summer embracing harder British rave and punk sounds while sharing their UNBREAKABLE : 少年 BEAST album. But inside Vevo Studios, the breakout rookie boy band pulls themselves in the other direction entirely to deliver the first-ever live performance of their album cut “Talk to me,” which arrives more than a month before the song’s official music video.

With top-of-the-line audio capture paired with cinematic and customizable lighting, Live From Vevo Studios sets the mood for a song that requires that exact kind of restraint. An alt-pop track built around smooth synths and glitchy R&B grooves, “Talk to me” lets ALD1’s sweet vocal delivery take center stage, with stand-up microphones allowing the members to focus on their delivery.

“With our [UNBREAKABLE] title track ‘BORN DIRE,’ we showed the intense energy of our performance,” says ALD1 leader Leo, before adding, “‘Talk to me’ is where we get to show a more romantic, softer side of ourselves over a more polished sound that’s really our own. Through this Vevo live performance, we wanted to show many people around the world another side of ALPHA DRIVE ONE and all the different colors that make us who we are.”

Adds ALD1’s main dancer Arno, “This is such a special moment for us that we’ll remember for a long time and we feel so honored to share it with Vevo. We want to keep showing the colors that are uniquely ALPHA DRIVE ONE through many more songs and stages to come.”

This Vevo performance continues a breakout run that began almost the moment the group formed. ALPHA DRIVE ONE emerged from Mnet’s Boys II Planet competition series on September 25, 2025, after more than 26 million votes from fans across 223 regions and countries voted them together as an octet. When members Leo, Arno, Junseo, Geonwoo, Sangwon, Xinlong, Anxin and Sanghyeon released their debut album, EUPHORIA, the mini album sold more than a million copies within 24 hours of its January release. That record closed its first week at more than 1.44 million copies sold, according to Hanteo Chart, marking the second-highest first-week total for any debut album in the chart’s history, only behind ZEROBASEONE, who are not only label mates with ALD1 but also delivered their own special Vevo Studios performance one year ago.

Meanwhile, UNBREAKABLE : 少年 BEAST sold nearly 1.14 million copies in its first week after its August 24 release. That figure looks likely to only grow with the physical version of the record releasing in the U.S. on October 2 (thanks to ALPHA DRIVE ONE’s new deal with Universal Music Group’s Republic Records) and then the official music video for “Talk to me” dropping October 27.
