Post Malone may have two albums coming at some point this year. The singer-songwriter has teased that a lot of music will soon make its way to his fans, although exactly what they should expect is not entirely clear. His latest full-length, F-1 Trillion, which dropped in 2024, turned Malone into a country superstar, and he will certainly try to capitalize on that risky move.
Malone has also recently highlighted his hip-hop roots, so it is entirely possible that one lengthy album combining those styles — as well as others, since he has found success in pop and rock in the past — or perhaps multiple projects will drop in the coming months. Before any entirely new music arrives, Malone scores another winning album in the United Kingdom with August 26th, one of his earliest releases. Following a special reissue, the set becomes a bestseller and even manages to earn Malone a new top 10.
Post Malone Scores Another Top 10 Album
August 26th debuts at No. 6 on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Albums chart this time around. The project lands the fourth-highest-ranking debut on the genre-specific tally, coming in behind new efforts by Mike D, Lancey Foux and a collaborative effort between Czarface and Frankie Pulitzer.
Post Malone’s Track Record on One List Remains Perfect
Malone has now sent half a dozen releases to the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Albums chart, which ranks the most-consumed projects in those styles throughout the U.K. All of them have broken into the top 10, though August 26th is his first to miss the top five – at least as the project begins its journey.
Beerbongs & Bentleys and Hollywood’s Bleeding both ruled the ranking for multiple frames. Twelve Carat Toothache missed the summit by one space, while Stoney, Malone’s first set to make it to the genre-focused list, topped out at No. 3. The Diamond Collection, his greatest-hits compilation, stalled at No. 5.

August 26th also brings Malone to an eighth career smash on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts. The mixtape debuts at Nos. 70 and 76 on the physical and more general sales rankings, respectively.

August 26th brings Malone to a new career low on two of the three U.K. charts where it opens. The set becomes his lowest-peaking release yet on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Hip-Hop and R&B Albums charts.
On the hip-hop and R&B roster, August 26th takes that distinction from The Diamond Collection, which peaked one rung higher. On the Official Albums Sales ranking, Stoney previously stood as Malone’s lowest-rising effort after stopping its climb at No. 65.
The same is not true on the Official Physical Albums chart. August 26th launches at No. 70, while Stoney remains Malone’s weakest performer on that tally. The early-career win spent one frame at No. 74 in May 2018, and The Diamond Collection never appeared on the physical-only ranking.
The Diamond Collection Remains a Big Win in the U.K.
The Diamond Collection is also still present on two U.K. charts this week, though there is no crossover when it comes to where the compilation lands and the rankings where August 26th debuts. The singles project rises one space to No. 41 on the Official Albums Streaming chart and also inches to No. 58 on the Official Albums tally.
August 26th Helped Introduce Post Malone
August 26th dropped in May 2016 via Republic Records, shortly after “White Iverson” turned Malone into one of the most talked-about new names in hip-hop. The mixtape served as his first full-length project, and its title referred to the then-planned August 26 release date for his debut studio album, Stoney, which ultimately didn’t arrive until that December.
For its tenth anniversary – essentially Malone’s tenth anniversary as a global musical superstar – August 26th was newly remastered and officially released on all major streaming platforms, while also becoming available on vinyl for the first time.
