Pump.fun launches Custom Pairs, letting creators launch tokens against stocks, crypto, metals, and more while earning fees in the paired asset.
Pump.fun launched “Custom Pairs”, letting anyone launch a token paired against tokenized stocks, majors, metals, and other assets instead of sticking with SOL or USDC, bringing the custom-pair model recently sweeping Raydium and Robinhood Chain directly into crypto’s largest token launchpad.
What’s the Scoop?
- Custom Pairs: Creators can use 93 supported quote assets via xStocks and Sunrise meaing, instead of launching something like MEME/SOL, a deployer could launch MEME/NVDA, MEME/SPY, or MEME/BTC, with the paired asset providing the other side of the market.
- 20 New Stocks: Alongside the feature, Pump.fun and Sunrise brought 20 new tokenized stocks to Solana, issued by Backpack Securities. These include Boeing ($BA), Alibaba ($BABA), Webull ($BULL), Costco ($COST), Dell ($DELL), Trump Media ($DJT), Hims ($HIMS), among others.
- Creators Get the Paired Asset: Creators can set fees between 0.05% and 1%, with rewards paid in whatever asset their token is paired against. So, launch against tokenized Nvidia and your creator fees arrive in tokenized Nvidia. Creators can alternatively switch to a cashback model that redirects fees to traders. Meanwhile, 50% of Pump.fun’s revenue from Custom Pairs will flow into its programmatic $PUMP buyback-and-burn contract.
