HBAR price is approaching the $0.11 resistance level after recovering from an extended consolidation period, while derivatives open interest has increased alongside the latest move. Hedera is also highlighting institutional liquidity and cross-ledger settlement, adding broader ecosystem context as traders monitor the token’s next technical level.

Technical indicators remain positive, although HBAR has yet to confirm a sustained move above $0.11. The resistance level is therefore more relevant to the near-term market structure than distant analyst projections.

HBAR Price Approaches Key $0.11 Resistance

HBAR has moved closer to a significant technical resistance level after breaking higher from its previous consolidation range.

Crypto analyst EGRAG CRYPTO identified $0.11 as the first major resistance level to watch, with additional levels at $0.134, $0.219, $0.31 and $0.403.

The analyst’s framework focuses on sequential resistance levels rather than treating the distant levels as immediate price targets. For HBAR, the first test is therefore whether the token can establish itself above $0.11.

A sustained move through that level would change the current technical structure, while rejection could keep HBAR within its recent trading range.

HBAR Recovers From Extended Consolidation

TradingView chart data shows that HBAR formed a notable low around $0.06400 in early August before recovering above resistance near $0.08000.

The subsequent move took HBAR toward $0.10000, where the token entered another period of consolidation.

HBAR had been trading at $0.09546 before the mentioned chart, representing an increase of 2.55%. The coin has managed to retain most of its recovery gains as it moves towards the $0.11 resistance point as per EGRAG CRYPTO.

The capacity to trade above the breakout region gives an understanding of the current price setup. However, a successful breakout of $0.11 would be required to determine if the recovery is forming another bullish trend.

Derivatives Open Interest Rises as HBAR Holds Higher Levels

The derivatives market of HBAR has also seen some positioning with the most recent price action. As per CoinGlass, the HBAR derivatives volumes are at around $170.59 million, while the open interest has risen by 5.17% to $161.20 million.

Open interest has increased, which means that the worth of derivatives positions that have not been settled yet has increased as the HBAR is approaching the high values it reached recently. In the meantime, the trading volume is also quite high, signaling that traders continue to show interest at these price levels.

An increase in open interest alone is not enough to prove whether traders are bullish or bearish. However, shifts in the derivatives’ positions can offer helpful insights, especially as the HBAR approaches the resistance zone.

Hedera Highlights Institutional Liquidity and Connected Markets

The new market action follows recent news from Hedera about developments that have been made in the context of institutional liquidity and infrastructure.

Hedera has recently announced a panel session at Sibos called “Unlocking Liquidity: From Siloed Assets to Connected Markets.” This session will touch upon topics such as cross-ledger settlement and fragmented liquidity and infrastructure.

The subject provides another perspective in regard to Hedera’s overall emphasis on institutional blockchain infrastructure. Cross-ledger settlement and liquidity have something to do with financial institutions looking to transfer their assets from one network to another.

Although these developments do not affect the short-term price of HBAR, they offer another perspective about the ecosystem apart from the technical side of the token.

What Comes Next for the HBAR Price?

The $0.11 region is still the first technical level to watch out for. The possibility of HBAR being able to consolidate above this resistance will help validate the recovery from the previous consolidation region.

A rejection will mean that the token will continue trading in the current range, whereas a breakout will mean that the other resistance regions identified by EGRAG CRYPTO will become important.

The increase in open interest and the focus by Hedera on institutional market infrastructure also add more context to the recent market movement. While RSI and MACD continue to be positive from the stated chart, the upcoming price movement will be determined by how HBAR behaves at $0.11.
