The breakdown shows NIO’s spread across brands. The NIO brand itself delivered 21,318 vehicles. ONVO added 8,763, and FIREFLY contributed 7,327.

Zooming out to the quarter, NIO delivered 109,178 vehicles in Q3 2026. That’s a 25% jump compared to the same quarter last year.

For the first nine months of 2026, total deliveries reached 300,301 vehicles. That marks a 49% increase year-over-year, a pace that’s hard to ignore.

Since the company began deliveries, cumulative numbers have now crossed 1,297,893 vehicles as of September 30, 2026. NIO has been steadily building toward that milestone for years.

ES8 and ES9 Hit Delivery Milestones

The All-New ES8 passed 150,000 deliveries on September 20, 2026. That came exactly one year after the model’s launch.

NIO says the ES8 ranked first in cumulative sales among large SUVs. It also topped sales for vehicles priced above RMB400,000 during its debut year.

The ES9 has also been performing well. The model has reached 30,000 deliveries since it started shipping on May 28, 2026.

According to NIO, the ES9 ranked first in monthly sales among battery electric vehicles priced above RMB500,000. That streak has held for three straight months.

Three Brands, One Strategy

NIO runs three separate vehicle brands under one roof. The main NIO brand targets premium smart electric vehicles.

ONVO is built for family buyers looking for a more accessible premium option. FIREFLY rounds things out with smaller, high-end electric compact cars.

Each brand is carving out its own space in China’s crowded EV market. The September numbers suggest all three are contributing meaningfully to overall volume.

NIO’s Hong Kong-listed shares (9866) moved in the opposite direction, slipping almost 2% on the day. The divergence between the two listings wasn’t addressed in the company’s release.

The delivery report did not include guidance for October or updated full-year targets. NIO’s next scheduled update will likely come with October delivery figures in early November.
