Network activity also picked up. On October 1, Cardano processed 43,181 transactions, the second straight daily record this week.

That figure marked a 29% jump from September 30, when the network recorded 33,467 transactions. Together, the two days added up to 76,648 transactions.

Cardano’s reported daily average for 2026 sits around 25,000 transactions. October 1’s total ran about 73% above that average.

Between September 24 and September 30, the network processed roughly 190,000 transactions in total. Activity during that week climbed steadily, rising 43% from 23,400 to 33,467 transactions.

Technical Levels in Focus

ADA traded at $0.2529 on October 2, up 0.36% on the four-hour chart. The $0.26 level remains the immediate resistance for buyers to clear.

A four-hour close above that resistance could open the door to $0.27 as the next target. A move below support could instead expose $0.24, an area where ADA has found buyers before.

The four-hour Relative Strength Index read 55.01, pointing to a mild bullish lean without being overbought. The MACD line sat at 0.0012, above its signal line of 0.0004, with a positive histogram of 0.0008.

Cardano also passed a nine-year development milestone in September 2026. Market analyst Lana Valentis marked the occasion with a detailed breakdown of the network’s progress.

In a post on X, Valentis wrote that Cardano has logged 123.9 million total transactions, built a base of 2,890 active stake pools, and passed 158 governance actions since launch. She said the token had crossed and closed above a major resistance zone near $0.24 on the weekly chart, calling it a potential breakout.

Valentis then laid out a series of upside targets: $0.32, $0.50, $0.80, $1.20, and $3.10. The $3.10 figure matches ADA’s all-time high, set in September 2021.

Long Road Back to Prior Highs

Reaching $3.10 from current levels would require a 1,117% increase. With 36.78 billion ADA in circulation, that price would put Cardano’s market cap near $114 billion.

Valentis did not give a timeframe for the token to reach that level. Her chart shows ADA recovering from a low near $0.14 earlier in 2026, now attempting to climb above a longer-term downtrend line.

At the time of her analysis, ADA was up 4% over 24 hours and roughly 0.9% for the week. Month-to-date, the token had gained about 3.91%.

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson addressed recent community criticism over ADA’s price performance. He said he holds no official role in driving adoption, noting the network operates in a decentralized manner.

ADA’s October track record is mixed. The token posted gains in 2017, 2019, and 2023, rising 40.4%, 6.63%, and 15.4% respectively.

It posted losses in 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024, and 2025, with declines ranging from 6.65% to 24.5%. Across all years, ADA’s average October return stands at -0.65%, with a median of -6.95%.
