Key Takeaways
- External providers would join Doppler’s existing financial products.
- FXRP represents XRP one-for-one for use in Flare applications.
- Doppler’s roadmap extends into managed strategies, lending, and credit.
Doppler Plans a Direct Route to Flare Vaults
XRP holders using Doppler could soon reach Flare’s vaults from the platform where they already keep their tokens. These products allocate deposits to financial strategies. Rox Park, head of institutions at Doppler Finance, which provides XRP-focused investment services, outlined direct access to Flare’s FXRP vaults on X on Oct. 3.
“I think of it like this. Our vaults were the first thing you could do on Doppler, and now vaults built by other teams like Flare’s are part of it too. One place, and whatever works for $XRP is reachable from there,” Park explained, adding:
“We called this a financial operating layer in the roadmap. This is the first time you can see what that means from the outside.”
His comments identified several obstacles: finding services, transferring assets between networks, and assessing how each product operates and what could go wrong.
“More ways to use $XRP, without more places to go looking,” Doppler summarized its planned integration with Flare in an Oct. 3 X message. “Together, we’re turning $XRP into working capital.”

FXRP Connects XRP to Flare’s Financial Applications
Moving into those applications requires an asset that can operate on Flare, a blockchain supporting programmable financial services. FXRP’s one-for-one relationship with XRP comes through FAssets, Flare’s system for representing assets from other networks. Holders can create FXRP by depositing XRP and redeem it for the underlying tokens.
Existing uses include products that manage deposits and markets where borrowers obtain loans against crypto collateral. Flare reported about 145.2 million FXRP minted and approximately 130 million deployed in decentralized finance, or DeFi, in a Sept. 24 update marking FXRP’s expansion into vaults and lending markets during its first year.
Those activities generate returns through mechanisms such as borrower interest, trading, or supplying assets to transaction pools. Earning rewards on deposited crypto can expose assets to software vulnerabilities and market losses. The proposed interface would simplify entry while leaving each investment subject to its own operating conditions and risks.
Flare Integration Follows Plans for More Networks and Managers
Adding an outside provider advances the broader financial infrastructure described in Doppler’s Sept. 28 roadmap. Its plans for managed vaults, lending, and credit include different managers and withdrawal conditions. The company reported more than $150 million deposited by over 14,000 users since February 2025 into XRP products and those supporting RLUSD, Ripple’s dollar-pegged stablecoin.
Responding to the latest collaboration on X on Oct. 3, Flare credited Doppler for making the first move. Its message described wider reach for its FXRP products through Doppler and wrote of XRP-focused finance, commonly called XRPFi:
“XRPFi gets bigger from here.”
Network expansion forms another part of Doppler’s plan, following the July 29 announcement of expansion to Base with Coinbase Wrapped XRP. Base is a blockchain built on Ethereum; the wrapped token represents XRP held in custody. The September roadmap lists support as being developed for the fourth quarter, followed by other assets represented as blockchain tokens.
The Flare relationship also follows an earlier distribution effort involving hardware wallets and connected blockchain services. The XRP Alliance’s initial partner lineup, announced by wallet maker IoTrust, included both teams, Squid Router, and Banxa. A May campaign subsequently offered entry to a Flare-based yield product through IoTrust’s D’CENT wallet app.
In an Oct. 3 X message, Doppler Finance co-founder Claud outlined plans for Doppler and Flare to build infrastructure enabling more users to access Flare’s yield opportunities. He stated:
“This is our first partnership in XRPfi since expanding Doppler beyond a yield service into yield infrastructure.”
