  • OKX unveiled OKX Money on 6 October at its OKX Now event in Singapore, letting users fund accounts in more than 50 currencies that convert into USDG, USDC or USDT.
  • Qualifying customers can earn up to 10% APY on eligible USDG balances and spend through virtual or physical cards with zero foreign exchange fees.
  • OKX says the app is starting in participating markets and has not named Australia, where OKX Australia launched an SMSF platform last year.

OKX released OKX Money on Tuesday, a separate app that converts deposits in more than 50 currencies into dollar-backed stablecoins for saving, sending and spending.

The exchange unveiled the app at its OKX Now product event in Singapore. It supports Paxos’ USDG, Circle’s USDC and Tether’s USDT, with free conversion between the three, according to OKX’s announcement.

Qualifying customers can earn up to 10% APY on eligible USDG holdings without staking or a lockup. That rate applies to USDG alone. The balance thresholds that unlock the top rate are not set out in OKX’s announcement.

Cards and Referral Rewards

The same app issues virtual and physical cards. Those cards carry zero foreign exchange fees on purchases in another currency, and OKX adds no conversion markup. The exchange puts the fees on such purchases elsewhere at 2% to 5%.

A loyalty programme offers eligible customers up to 10% cashback on qualifying purchases. Customers also earn commissions when people they invite activate a card and spend, and again when those friends refer others. OKX said it built the referral scheme for markets where trust travels through personal networks.

Roughly 70% of the people OKX wants to reach have never used a crypto application, the company said.

Fortune reported that the app is aimed at emerging markets in Latin America, Africa, South Asia and the Middle East.

Australia Not Yet Named

OKX’s announcement says the app is starting in participating markets. It will expand once the product shows it performs and customers are well served. OKX said it will not scale faster than it can support customers.

The launch post names no Australian availability. Its disclaimer notes OKX Money may not be offered in every region, including Singapore.

OKX Australia launched a platform for self-managed super funds in September 2025. Its CEO, Kate Cooper, said stablecoin use would proliferate in Australia once digital asset laws passed Parliament.

OKX says it operates under regulatory licensing frameworks in more than 30 jurisdictions. It also announced on Tuesday a strategic investment from Circle, QRT, Ripple and SC Ventures at a US$25 billion (AU$35.8 billion) pre-money valuation.
