Sei has introduced more payment features through the implementation of Toku on the blockchain, offering USDC payments, payroll payments, token distribution, and corporate transfers. The new feature introduces yet another real-world application of payment solutions in the Sei ecosystem as the traders keep an eye on SEI’s ability to gain support around the crypto analyst Giannis Andreou’s retracement area.

Toku Brings USDC Payments to Sei Network

Toku has been launched on the blockchain of Sei Network, with some payment and business-oriented features being offered on Sei using USDC.

As per the press release, Toku offers various features, including payments, payroll, token distribution, and corporate payments via USDC. These use cases not only include transfer features but are also related to the payment needs of businesses.

Being a stablecoin tied to the US dollar, USDC is helpful in facilitating transactions where users prefer not to take the risk of using volatile assets like SEI. The new capability to support USDC-based payments allows Sei another way to draw users and businesses to the platform in search of blockchain financial solutions.

While the statement highlights the launch of the integration, it provides no data regarding transaction amounts, user counts, and other key adoption statistics. They will be crucial for evaluating the success of Toku.

Why Is the Toku Integration Important for Sei?

Payment services can help provide the blockchain with an actual application other than transactions and DeFi. Payment for salaries, company transfers, and token giveaways are periodic actions that can form constant demand for the service in case businesses start using it.

Also, the appearance of Toku provides yet another application for the Sei network. The use of USDC-based payments will be attractive for companies that want to conduct stable-value payments, and Sei will profit from that.

However, the partnership by itself does not guarantee that SEI will experience a rise in value immediately. The partnership does not indicate how active Toku will be on the platform and whether the activity will lead to an increased demand for SEI tokens. Adoption figures will help us understand this better in the long run.

Giannis Andreou Maps SEI Price Levels for Recovery

SEI may be heading into a consolidation phase after its price increased from around $0.0415 to $0.0865, according to crypto analyst Giannis Andreou. The question is whether SEI will manage to hold its ground at the critical Fibonacci retracement level.

The technical analyst marks the 0.618 retracement at $0.0587 and draws attention to the 0.0575-0.0595 range as a possible zone of consolidation. It is the case to be seen but not the one where SEI would form its support. For that, the token would have to defend the bottom of the range and move up.

If that structure develops, Andreou identifies the following upside levels:

  • $0.0693: First potential upside level.
  • $0.0759: Next resistance area to watch.
  • 0.0855–0.0865: A zone near the previous advance’s high.

Downside target is as significant. As Andreou points out, a move below $0.052 would jeopardize the suggested recovery pattern. Analysis is conditioned until the formation of the consolidation zone and breakout from it takes place.

What Could Shape the SEI Price Outlook?

The forecast for SEI now comes with two separate components that need watching: the ecosystem and the pricing model. However, the incorporation of Toku brings more payment options but requires proof of greater utilization to determine the impact on adoption.

On the other hand, the technical configuration will depend on SEI’s ability to set up a base within the retracement area and climb above resistance nearby. If that is to happen, Andreou’s recovery setup will be validated; otherwise, it will be invalidated.

At this juncture, the Toku launch is an encouraging sign for the ecosystem but does not ensure a bullish move for SEI. Traders can monitor adoption metrics along with the technical levels to determine whether the increased use of the network is reflected in its price momentum.
