Analyst View and Pace of Buying
TD Cowen raised its Bitcoin forecasts on Thursday but left its $260 price target on Strategy unchanged. The firm said dilution and the company’s financial obligations will likely limit gains for shareholders. The target implies about 70% upside from Friday’s close.
The firm sees Bitcoin near $109,000 by year end. It expects $280,000 by 2029.
Buying has cooled in recent months. Holdings grew just 0.2% in the third quarter. Strategy bought 7,218 BTC and sold 5,553 BTC in that period.
Bitcoin fell 4.5% over the past week. Strategy usually files its purchases with the SEC, which is closed Monday for Columbus Day.
