In Brief

  • Zcash (ZEC): ZEC moving at $1,199, about 30% below its late-September high, and sits on the $1,190 moving average. Volume is falling and RSI is neutral near 45. A daily close above $1,285 would be the first sign of recovery, while a break of $1,190 opens a path to $990.
  • XRP (XRP): XRP has reached $1.346, holding the $1.34 moving average after a roughly 19% decline from late September. Resistance is stacked between $1.38 and $1.42, volume is declining, and a daily close above $1.39 is needed to change the sideways trend.
  • Chainlink (LINK): LINK trades near $12.46, about 21% below its late-September high, and sits on its short-term moving averages near $12.45. Volume is weak. A daily close below $12.05 opens the way to $11.40, while reclaiming $13.10 is needed for a real recovery.
  • Near Protocol (NEAR): NEAR trying to protect itself at around $4.94 after a sharp rejection from $6.00 on October 12. The broader trend remains strong, with price more than tripled from its August base. Support sits at $4.65, $4.30 and $4.00, while $5.20 is the first hurdle.

Near Protocol (NEAR) Nosedives to Support

NEAR trades close to $4.94 after a sharp rejection from the $6.00 level. Price spiked to that high on October 12, then reversed in a large red candle that erased most of the gain. A move like this, with a long upper wick, suggests that sellers were waiting at the top.

NEAR has more than tripled from its August base near $1.60, and every long average is rising. They now sit near $3.95, $3.60, $3.20 and $2.60. But this is also the problem. Price is far above all of them, so a deeper pullback would not necessarily break the trend. It would only bring price back to more normal levels.

Near Protocol (NEAR), XRP, Zcash (ZEC) and Chainlink (LINK) Price Analysis for October 15: Can Bulls Sustain Liquidity?

China Seeks to Confiscate Billions in BTC, XRP, DOGE, BCH, BTG and BSV

The first support is the short-term average near $4.65. Below it, the October 8 low near $4.30 is the next line, followed by the $4.00 area. A daily close below $4.30 would suggest that the sideways range held since late September is breaking, and $4.00 would come into view.

On the upside, $5.20 is the first hurdle, where recent candles failed. Above it, $5.60 capped several rallies in late September and early October, and $6.00 is the high set on October 12.

Can XRP Bounce Back?

XRP trades near $1.346 and is resting at the orange moving average around $1.34, the only line that has kept it from a deeper fall. The coin dropped from approximately $1.66 in late September, a loss of about 19%, and the past couple of daily candles show buyers defending this level with small lower wicks near $1.31.

Above the price, the picture is crowded. The black average near $1.38 and the blue one near $1.39 sit just overhead, with the cyan line near $1.42 above them. XRP lost all of these in early October, so they now act as a wall of resistance. Today’s high of $1.385 ran straight into that area and was sold, which fits the weak mood. The market needs a daily close above $1.39 to begin changing that.

Volume tells the same story. Trading has declined gradually since the larger moves in August and September, and the recent red candles are not heavy, so sellers are not rushing either. That is why the price is moving sideways.

Zcash (ZEC) Spills Out

Zcash is trading near $1,199 after a sharp pullback from the late-September high near $1,700. That is a drop of approximately 30% in under three weeks, and the coin now sits right on an important line. The blue moving average near $1,190 has held the price twice in the past week, with buyers pushing it back up from lows around $1,115 and $1,120.

The bounces were weak, though. Each attempt to move higher has stalled under the cyan and green averages near $1,230 and $1,285. Today’s candle opened at $1,218 and is already back under them, which suggests sellers still step in on every small rise. Volume has also dried up compared with the rally days in September, so there is little buying strength behind these attempts. The daily RSI is around 45, a neutral reading that suggests momentum has cooled but the coin is not oversold.

What matters now is whether $1,190 continues to hold. If it does, ZEC can build a base and try to reclaim $1,285. A daily close above that level would be the first real sign that the drop is over. A move back toward $1,350 could then be realistic, since that area held the price in early October.

If the blue line breaks, the chart offers little nearby protection. The next support is the orange average around $990, which is about 17% below the current price. Under that, the long black average near $765 marks where the rally began to accelerate. A fall that deep is not the base case, but the empty space on the chart suggests how fast it could happen.

The bigger picture remains positive. ZEC more than doubled from about $500 in August, and the longer averages keep rising far below the price. A cooldown after a run like this is normal. For now, the coin sits at a decision point with falling volume, and a clear move in either direction is likely soon.

Chainlink (LINK) Invalidates the Support

Chainlink trades close to $12.46, down approximately 21% from its late-September high close to $15.75. The drop was accompanied by a sharp spike on heavy volume, a pattern that often marks a short-term top. Since then, every bounce has been weaker than the last, and price has made lower highs near $14.30, $13.50 and $13.10. LINK now sits on its short-term moving averages, which run right at $12.45. These lines carried the uptrend through September, and buyers have defended them twice this month.

Wicks down to $12.05 on October 8 and $12.20 this week show that dip buyers are still active. But the bounces are small, and today’s red candle is pressing on the line again.

Volume is the weak spot. Trading activity has dropped well below the levels seen during the September rally, which means few investors are willing to push price in either direction. Low volume near support can end with a sharp break, so the $12.05 area matters.

A daily close below it would open the way to the orange average near $11.40, and then the 200-day average near $10.85, which is close to the mid-September low of $10.60.

On the upside, LINK needs to reclaim $13.10, where a faster average now acts as resistance. A close above it could turn the bounce into a real recovery, with $13.50 and $14.00 as the next targets. Reaching $15.75 again would require a strong return of volume, and that looks unlikely in the near term.

The bigger picture is still positive. LINK is up approximately 50% from its August base near $8.20, and all the long averages point up. This looks more like a cooling phase than a trend reversal. Still, price is at a decision point, and the next strong daily close should show which side wins. Bulls need to hold $12.05 to keep the uptrend safe.
