Tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs on the exchange have logged more than $40 billion in trading volume since June
Binance’s tokenized equity product, bStocks, has passed $1 billion in assets under management roughly four months after launch, the company said on Thursday, making it the fastest tokenized equity product to reach that mark, according to on-chain data from Dune Research.
bStocks went live on June 11, 2026, with five listings. The exchange now offers nearly 100, covering U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs. Each token is backed 1:1 by the underlying security and can be redeemed for the security itself rather than its cash value, which Binance says keeps the token’s price tied to the stock it tracks.
Cumulative trading volume has topped $40 billion since launch, an average of more than $300 million a day. Users have also moved $6 billion between direct stock positions and bStocks at 1:1 parity, without a broker transfer or waiting for U.S. market hours.
“The test of a tokenized stock isn’t the launch-day chart; it’s whether it still behaves like a market after the launch,” said Shunyet Jan, Head of Exchange and Trading at Binance. “Today, more than a billion dollars of that is held on Binance, and it’s being used, not just held.”
The tokens trade around the clock, settle on-chain and can be moved between the exchange and self-custodial wallets. Much of the activity happens when traditional markets are shut: in July, only 38% of bStocks volume took place during regular U.S. trading hours, compared with 89.2% for conventional U.S. equities.
The milestone comes as tokenized stocks gain ground more broadly. Binance said tokenized equities have been the fastest-growing real-world asset category of 2026, with market capitalization more than quadrupling to over $3 billion by late September. On-chain transfers of tokenized stocks exceeded $100 billion in the third quarter, more than 16 times the $6 billion recorded in the first quarter, with bStocks accounting for over 90% of weekly transfer volume at the early-August peak.
Last month, Binance opened bStocks collateral support to all eligible users, allowing retail traders to post supported tokens as margin and futures collateral with up to 5x leverage.
bStocks are offered through an Approved Prospectus in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and are available only to eligible users in permitted jurisdictions. They are not available to U.S. persons and do not give holders direct ownership of shares in the underlying companies.
