DOGE opened near $0.0807, reached about $0.0815, and dipped to roughly $0.0798 before returning to the opening area. It is flat on the day. The wider picture is weaker after a drop from late-September highs near $0.10.

DOGE chart shows a key support test

The chart now shows a clear break below the rising trendline that supported DOGE from the August lows. That puts the focus on horizontal support at $0.0792.

DOGE has tested this area several times. If buyers keep defending it, the price may try another bounce toward $0.085-$0.09.

A daily close below $0.0792 would open the way to $0.0680. That level sits near the August base. On the upside, DOGE would need to reclaim $0.10 before resistance at $0.1174 comes back into play.

Momentum is bearish. The daily RSI is 35.80, close to oversold territory but above the commonly watched 30 level. MACD is also negative, with the MACD line below its signal line and the histogram below zero.

Analyst Ali Charts pointed to a possible bright spot. He noted that the TD Sequential indicator flashed a buy signal on the DOGE daily chart near $0.081. He said the signal is especially interesting because of where it appeared, and that the indicator has marked potential turning points for Dogecoin before.

ETF flows and on-chain data

U.S. Dogecoin ETFs recorded no net flows on Oct. 16. Several altcoin ETF categories finished the session flat, and NEAR was the only tracked altcoin market to attract fresh capital.

That follows seven earlier October sessions with no Dogecoin ETF inflows. In the week ending Sept. 25, DOGE funds recorded a record $2.89 million weekly inflow. That pace has not continued into October.

On-chain data looks steadier than the price. Transactions rose to 32,258 on Oct. 13, then eased to 22,450 on Oct. 14 and 22,814 on Oct. 15. Active addresses averaged 33,325 per day from Oct. 5 to 11, according to SoChain.

Large transfers remain active. About 1.93 billion DOGE moved in transfers of at least one million DOGE in a single day. The top 10 addresses held roughly 44.1% of supply, down slightly from earlier levels.

DogeOS is the main ecosystem project to follow. It launched its public testnet at the end of September as an EVM-compatible zero-knowledge rollup. Developers can build trading platforms, lending apps, stablecoins and games, with DOGE used for fees.

The network has since added lending, trading, gaming, AI and launchpad apps. Its “Grand Heist” campaign is being used to bring users into those apps. The testnet is still early and has not produced a clear price move.

What to watch next

The key level is $0.0792. If DOGE holds above it, a bounce toward $0.085-$0.09 is possible.

A break below $0.0792 would put $0.0680 in view. Reclaiming $0.09 would be the first sign that short-term momentum is improving.
