UNO Digital Bank said it restored fund transfer services following an unscheduled multi-day system outage, even as depositors report persisting transaction delays and inaccessible accounts across integrated platforms.
The digital lender announced that customers can send and receive money via InstaPay, PESONet and GCash through its version 2.0 mobile application. The restoration follows emergency maintenance initiated on Oct. 11 during a scheduled system transition, an interruption that led depositors to submit complaints to regulators.
Despite the bank’s notice that services were returning to normal, numerous account holders reported that funds debited from their accounts remained marked as pending for multiple days without reaching recipient accounts. Other depositors reported persistent loading failures when attempting to access deposits through GCash’s GSave feature, delayed crediting of matured time deposits and transaction errors at automated teller machines. In an official advisory, the bank stated that the maintenance procedure did not compromise customer balances. The lender acknowledged that it failed to issue advance notice to depositors because technical issues required immediate intervention. To compensate funded account holders, the bank said it will credit bonus interest to eligible savings accounts.
