TLDR

  • XRP trades below $1.30 and is down about 12.5% since October 1.
  • Large investor outflows from Binance hit a five-year low, per analyst Darkfost.
  • Exchanges took in 6.05 billion XRP over 30 days, the most in seven months.

XRP price is trading below $1.30 on Tuesday, extending a weak October for the token. The asset fell 4.81% last week and has dropped about 12.5% since October 1, according to CryptoRank data.

The pullback comes as three bearish signals appear at once. Large investors are pulling fewer coins from exchanges, more tokens are arriving on trading platforms, and spot ETF demand has slowed.

Whales Step Back From Binance

On-chain analyst Darkfost reported that large-investor XRP outflows from Binance have hit their lowest level in five years. The 90-day average outflow is $49.7 million, down from $3.5 billion in February 2025.

Darkfost said large investors may be waiting for lower prices. XRP has held up better than in 2022 and 2023, when those buyers stepped in at lower levels.

Analyst Crypto Patel is taking a different view. He wrote on X that he is highly bullish on XRP reaching $10 to $20 this cycle if higher-timeframe candles close above $1.55. He listed a re-entry zone of $1.00 to $1.20 and a stop loss on a close below $0.98.

Patel added that a confirmed break above $1.55 could open the way to $3.67 resistance. His first accumulation zone at $1 has already been filled, he said.

Exchange Deposits and ETF Flows

Exchanges received 6.05 billion XRP in the past 30 days, the highest volume in seven months, according to Arab Chain. Binance took in 2.46 billion units, about 40% of the total.

The analyst noted that deposits do not always mean selling. Wallet transfers and higher trading activity can have the same effect.

Spot XRP ETFs in the US recorded a net outflow of $1.84 million in the week ending October 16, per SoSoValue. That broke a 13-week streak of net inflows.

October inflows total just $10.25 million, compared with $121.4 million in September. Total net value fell from $1.77 billion on September 25 to $1.48 billion.

XRP rose 30% in August and 7.95% in September. Historically, it closed lower in 8 of 13 Octobers, and its median November return is negative 10%.

Chart Analysis

The daily chart looks heavy. XRP is stuck under the 100-day EMA at $1.34 and the 50-day and 200-day EMAs near $1.38, so every bounce keeps running into layered resistance. RSI at 35 sits just above oversold, and MACD is still negative.

There’s no clear support in the indicator set below $1.30, so bulls need a reclaim of the EMA cluster first. Watch the $1.34 to $1.38 zone next, with the SuperTrend line at $1.46 as the bigger recovery target.

Markets are also watching the Federal Reserve’s October 28 decision. About 85% of traders expect rates to stay unchanged, according to Crypto Finance. Perpetual futures open interest averaged 2.21 billion XRP on Tuesday, up from 2.16 billion the day before.

XRP was trading below $1.30 on Tuesday, with a Fed decision due October 28.
