Ripple CryptEscrow partnership seeks to provide US cryptocurrency holders with an easier method of buying property with their cryptocurrencies.

Through this partnership, CryptEscrow will offer the service of converting cryptocurrency to traditional money in order to enable sellers, developers, and title firms to receive traditional money payments without dealing with cryptocurrencies directly. The Ripple CryptEscrow partnership seeks to bridge cryptocurrency funds with traditional real estate closings.

In addition, the partnership also seeks to enable valuable property transactions through an additional means for crypto holders to utilize their assets in the property market.

Ripple CryptEscrow Partnership Targets Crypto-Funded Homes

Ripple CryptEscrow partnership arises due to the emergence of new possibilities for some buyers because of cryptocurrency ownership in terms of funding purchases of properties. It is stated by the National Cryptocurrency Association that about 67 million Americans own cryptocurrency, which is almost one quarter of the adult population.

According to research conducted by Deloitte, purchases of property related to crypto assets grew by 35% year over year. Also, a Redfin survey showed that 12.7% of Gen Z and Millennials purchased homes after selling their cryptocurrency.

These numbers illustrate the need for services that would link digital currency with property deals. Nevertheless, the conversion of cryptocurrency into dollars and payment through existing financial services may add more steps for the buyer.

The Ripple CryptEscrow partnership is intended to help solve these issues by enabling the buyer to use cryptocurrency while making the transaction process familiar for the seller and other parties to the deal.

John Ioannou Jr., CEO of CryptEscrow, was very pleased with this announcement, stressing the importance of having an infrastructure that ties together digital wealth and real estate.

“We are excited to be working with Ripple as we build the infrastructure necessary to tie crypto wealth to the real estate market,” Ioannou stated.

How the Ripple CryptEscrow Partnership Will Work

The Ripple CryptEscrow partnership is an alliance between the blockchain technology of Ripple and the crypto-to-fiat services provided by CryptEscrow. In this partnership, CryptEscrow will be responsible for converting digital currencies into traditional money so that sellers can get conventional money.

With this partnership, it will become possible for buyers to buy properties using cryptocurrencies without having sellers, builders, or title firms deal with cryptocurrencies directly.

It will be possible for sellers to minimize their risks due to price variations by converting their cryptocurrencies into fiat currency. The Ripple CryptEscrow partnership will assist both companies in simplifying real estate settlements.

Ripple Expands Its Institutional Payment Services

Ripple’s CryptEscrow partnership falls under the broader category of Ripple initiatives that aim at linking blockchain with conventional financial solutions. Ripple has also collaborated with Swiss financial institution Arf, with the intention of using RLUSD for settlement liquidity on the XRP Ledger (XRPL).

RLUSD will be used by Arf to offer temporary working capital for cross-border payment firms. These firms have an annual settlement volume of around $10 billion.

Whereas the former partnership of Ripple seeks to use cryptocurrencies in the acquisition of properties, the latter seeks to address liquidity issues in international payments.

Cross River Integrates RLUSD Into Its Banking Platform

RLUSD integration on XRP Ledger in Cross River’s core banking technology facilitates the process of real-time settlement and making cross-border payments, as well as transferring money from US dollars to RLUSD.

The Ripple CryptEscrow partnership, besides the ARF agreement, demonstrates how Ripple technology is capable of working with traditional banking services, including international payments and buying real estate properties.

In the case of the Ripple CryptEscrow partnership, the effect of this partnership will largely depend on adoption, settlement capabilities, and meeting real estate requirements.
