Ripple’s XRP leaped more than 4.9% to $1.46 at press time, reclaiming its spot as the fourth most valuable cryptocurrency by market capitalization, trailing only Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tether’s USDT.
The surge followed a cryptic post from Solana’s official X account featuring a short four-second video showing both XRP and Solana branding with a simple caption: “XRP.” The post immediately ignited speculation and attracted intense attention from the XRP Army.
RippleX’s official account responded to the post with the “eyes” emoji, a gesture often interpreted as a signal that something is worth watching. The Solana X account also echoed the reaction with the same emoji, further fueling speculation.
Solana’s post quickly drew reactions from the XRP community, with many speculating that something momentous may be unfolding. One X user wrote, “Something’s brewing, and we’re going to find out what that something is very soon,” while another referenced earlier claims about XRP integration on Solana—prompting the Solana account to respond with the “eyes” emoji.
The Solana account further fueled curiosity with cryptic replies such as “we signed 589 NDAs” and “time to flip the switch,” offering no concrete details but intensifying speculation across both communities.
“Solana posting ‘XRP’ wasn’t random. They knew exactly who they were talking to. ‘589’ ‘flip the switch.’ That’s $XRP language. That’s not accidental,” another X user observed. “This is them tapping the rails. Solana has speed and users. $XRP has liquidity and settlement. Put those together and things actually move.”
Notably, this isn’t the first time Solana’s official X account has referenced XRP. In late March, it posted, “We hear XRP is nice this time of year,” a remark that even drew attention from former Ripple CTO David Schwartz.
While no official partnership has been announced between Solana and Ripple yet, the latest X exchange underscores a broader trend the crypto market has been increasingly observing: a shift away from blockchain tribalism toward interoperability.
Networks that once competed for dominance are now more frequently exploring ways to connect liquidity, improve utility, and integrate across each other’s infrastructure rather than operating in isolation.
That said, XRP was ported over to the Solana network in December 2025 as Wrapped XRP (wXRP), a 1:1-backed token issued through Hex Trust and LayerZero Labs.
