The $3 Cardano Prophecy: Why Whales Are Accumulating Millions While ADA Battles to Reclaim All-Time High

Cardano creator Charles Hoskinson has fired back at critics calling for his removal from the ecosystem, challenging them to explain how ADA could surge to new all-time highs without his involvement.

The controversy erupted after a post from DexHunter triggered criticism of Hoskinson. One naysayer went as far as suggesting that Hoskinson should be removed from every role connected to the ecosystem, suggesting that ADA and Cardano Native Tokens (CNTs) could perform better in his absence.

Hoskinson did not simply brush off the accusation. Instead, he challenged those advocating for his departure to explain their alternative vision, asking them to provide a step-by-step roadmap for how Cardano would succeed without him.

He also questioned what critics believe he actually controls within the ecosystem, putting the spotlight on Cardano’s governance, decentralization, and who truly holds the power.

The message was clear: If removing Hoskinson is supposedly the key to ADA’s parabolic moonshot, then show the roadmap. Explain exactly what changes, who takes over, and how that move would make Cardano stronger.

ADA’s Performance Put Hoskinson’s Leadership Under the Microscope

The clash highlights a growing divide within the Cardano community over the network’s development progress, ADA’s market performance, and Hoskinson’s leadership role.

ADA’s long-term price decline has become a major talking point. After reaching an all-time high of $3.09 in September 2021, the token has since fallen sharply. At press time, ADA traded around $0.2179— roughly 92.9% below its peak. The slump has also seen Cardano fall outside the crypto market’s top 10 by capitalization, with ADA ranking around 15th, per CoinGecko.

While the broader crypto market has also endured significant downturns, detractors argue that Hoskinson and Input Output Global (IOG) must shoulder some responsibility for Cardano’s prolonged weakness.

Hoskinson has also felt the impact of ADA’s steep decline, previously revealing that the downturn wiped out approximately $3 billion from his personal crypto holdings.

Despite taking a major financial hit himself, Hoskinson continues to face criticism over his leadership and Cardano’s performance, keeping the debate over the project’s direction alive within the community.

Nevertheless, Hoskinson continues to view ADA’s prolonged slump as a temporary setback rather than a permanent trend.

He expects Cardano’s fortunes to improve as the network pushes forward with major developments, including the Leios scaling upgrade and associated hard forks, while advancing its governance system and expanding the wider ecosystem.

But Hoskinson’s ambitions extend far beyond a simple recovery. The Cardano founder has openly set his sights on making ADA the No. 1 cryptocurrency on crypto rankings, signaling just how high his expectations remain for the project.
