XRP holders are consistently moving assets out of centralized crypto exchanges, underscoring improved market sentiment in the past 30 days. The weakened sell pressure was ignited by whales following a wider industry trend before retail investors began the exodus to other custodians.
Binance Records New 60-Day Low
Flows out of centralized exchanges are a clear sign of bullish sentiment because they show possible long-term holdings. On the other hand, large exchange inflows occur before liquidations, highlighting the growing pattern.
In the past two months, Binance XRP inflows dropped to their lowest level in two months, with exits surging in 361,000 transactions. Last month’s deposits were only in 328,300 separate transactions, marking a consistent decline at the end of each week.
This reduces the amount of XRP readily available for a sale on the exchange, leading to an immediate uptick in the asset’s price. Aside from Binance, withdrawals also outpace inflows on other platforms, a trend fueled by high-stakes traders.
“This behavior is commonly associated with long-term holding rather than an intention to sell immediately. The combination of weaker deposit activity and consistently higher withdrawals points to a potential reduction in selling pressure on the exchange. With fewer XRP deposits entering Binance, the available spot market supply may continue to tighten if this trend persists.”
After bulls perceived an asset bottom alongside the general market, whales resumed consistent accumulation. Notably, analysts pointed to an altcoin rebound after XRP jumped 11% in 6 days and Ethereum finally pierced the $1,900 resistance.
The former’s rebound is often linked to stronger sentiment in XRP and SOL, coupled with mid-cycle fund rotation to altcoins. However, most analysts say this is not a case of rotation out of Bitcoin, as the largest crypto by market capitalization is recording inflows from gold and artificial intelligence stocks.
CryptoQuant researchers point to the dominance of institutional holders, interpreted as a key upward long-term trajectory. These holders are looking to recover losses since January while lowering risks.
For many, XRP remains an asset capable is staggering jumps, citing last year’s run when it topped USDT as the third-largest asset by market capitalization. At the time of writing, XRP sits sixth with a $68.9 billion market cap.
The asset plunged over 65% in the period but continues to post weekly gains, including heavy institutional purchases.
