A Hyperliquid whale is taking profits on a bet that has paid off more than 20 times over. The wallet bought 257,928 HYPE tokens ago at just $3.5 per token, which cost approximately $903,000 in total. Six hours ago, it sent 100,276 HYPE, worth $8.17 million, to a Kraken deposit address.
How did the sale go?
The tokens came out of Hyperliquid staking first, and the wallet then sent them directly to Kraken. One day earlier, the same wallet moved another 30,228 HYPE, worth $2.55 million, in the same way.

Together, the two transfers are worth approximately $10.7 million. At today’s price near $82, the original position is worth around $21 million, a gain of approximately 2,200%. If the wallet has not sold anything else, it still holds approximately 127,000 HYPE, worth close to $10.4 million.
Deposits to an exchange often point to a sale, so investors watch movements like this closely. Even so, the market has absorbed the selling without a crash. HYPE trades near $82 and is down approximately 16% from its recent high near $98. Volume is low, which suggests traders are not rushing for the exit.
The chart is somewhat weak in the short term. The price has slipped below the 50-day average near $83.70 and the 20-day average near $86. The RSI sits in the low 40s, which points to fading momentum. The $79 area is the closest support, and the 100-day average near $76.50 is the next one below it.
Where does it go?
The larger trend keeps eyeing high, as the long-term averages continue to rise. For buyers to take back control, HYPE needs to close above $84 and then reclaim $87.50. That would put $90 and $95 back in view. A close below $79 would be a warning, and it could send the price toward $76.
The key question is what the whale does next. Selling 130,000 tokens in days is a sign of profit taking, and more deposits to Kraken could add pressure while the price is soft. But one wallet is small next to the entire market, so the chart will matter more than any single seller.
