Digital financial services platform Maya has partnered with the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) to integrate digital payment options for the agency’s services. Under the agreement, non-resident Filipinos and their families will be able to pay for CFO transactions using credit and debit cards, QR codes, and digital wallets.
Digitalization of Government Services

The partnership allows the CFO to accept cashless payments as part of its efforts to transition to digital service delivery. According to a joint statement, the implementation aims to change how the agency collects fees for its various programs and services.
The CFO is the government entity mandated to manage the interests and welfare of non-resident Filipinos, including permanent migrants, dual citizens, and Filipino spouses of foreign nationals. CFO Secretary Dante “Klink” Ang II stated that the agency serves a constituency of more than six million non-resident Filipinos globally.

Strategic Agency Alignment
Maya noted that the integration provides infrastructure to support the government’s ease of doing business agenda. Shailesh Baidwan, Maya Group President and Maya Bank Co-Founder, stated that the initiative links overseas users to digital financial tools intended to support financial health.
The collaboration follows previous deployments by other financial institutions in the country. Local digital finance entities Coins.ph and Bybit have previously established similar channels facilitating transactions for overseas Filipino networks.
Broader Service Deployments
According to the companies, the partnership forms part of Maya’s public sector digital payment infrastructure layout. Earlier this year, Maya deployed standard user incentives for the overseas market, which included transaction rebates on automated teller machine (ATM) withdrawals, InstaPay transfers, and cashbacks on mobile load top-ups.
CFO Secretary Ang noted that the agency plans to review additional opportunities to engage non-resident Filipinos through expanded economic and digital connections in future phases.
