Fireblocks introduces security and growth tools, including embedded wallets and compliance solutions, for scaling digital asset infrastructure.
Fireblocks, a digital asset infrastructure company valued at $8 billion as of 2022, recently unveiled an array of tools designed to help businesses scale their digital asset operations securely and efficiently. The announcements were made during its Pulse Masterclass webinar, which highlighted advancements in security posture management, embedded wallets, and high-volume governance capabilities.
For years, Fireblocks has provided institutional-grade infrastructure for custody, payments, and trading. Its tools are used by major financial players like BNY Mellon and BNP Paribas to manage more than $6 trillion in digital asset transfers. The latest updates aim to address two pressing questions for companies handling digital assets at scale: how to protect their operations and how to enable growth.
Security Posture Management as a Core Focus
Security is paramount for digital asset operations. Fireblocks introduced its Security Posture Management (FSPM) tool, specifically designed for digital assets, to tackle risks stemming from misconfigured policies, inactive users, and weak approval thresholds. FSPM continuously audits configurations, flags potential vulnerabilities, and provides actionable steps to fix them. Importantly, it also logs all changes for audit purposes, a critical feature as regulators increasingly demand evidence of consistent compliance.
The company’s recent acquisition of TRES Finance complements these efforts. TRES reconciles blockchain data with traditional finance systems, enabling businesses to meet regulatory standards like GAAP and IFRS. With over 280 data sources supported, TRES addresses a longstanding pain point for financial teams struggling to audit on-chain activity.
Abstracting Complexity to Drive Growth
Fireblocks is also focusing on simplifying user experiences. Its embedded wallet solutions allow businesses to integrate non-custodial wallets directly into their platforms, enabling seamless customer interactions without exposing blockchain complexities. For example, users can perform gasless transactions across Solana and EVM chains, eliminating the need for manual signature approvals unless explicitly required by the business.
The newly introduced Fireblocks Flow takes this a step further by enabling users to fund applications in one asset while businesses receive stablecoins or other preferred assets. The entire process, including any necessary swaps or bridging, is automated and invisible to both parties, streamlining operations.
Governance for High-Volume Operations
For businesses managing high transaction volumes, governance and scalability remain critical. Fireblocks has enhanced its platform with features like batch approvals, allowing multiple transactions to be authorized in a single step, and Solana multi-destination transactions, which consolidate payouts into a single atomic action. Improved visibility tools, such as Account Traffic Control, use AI to detect and resolve transactions stuck in the mempool.
Additionally, Fireblocks has integrated native DeFi yield and staking options into its platform. Institutions can now access protocols like Aave and Morpho or manage ETH staking operations directly within the Fireblocks environment, all governed by policy controls.
Positioning for a Converging Market
As the line between traditional finance and crypto continues to blur, Fireblocks’ infrastructure positions it as a key player in the next phase of digital asset adoption. By addressing the dual imperatives of security and growth, the company is equipping its clients to compete in a market where seamless, compliant, and user-friendly financial experiences are increasingly demanded.
These updates come on the heels of other recent Fireblocks milestones, such as integrating Circle’s Gateway and Payments Network into its stablecoin infrastructure earlier this month. While the company remains privately held, its focus on innovation and institutional adoption signals growing maturity in a rapidly evolving sector.
