The Smarter Web Company bought 11.89 Bitcoin, lifting its total treasury holdings to 2,712 BTC. The August 3 purchase restored accumulation weeks after the company reduced holdings to settle financing. The move extends its long-term Bitcoin treasury policy under its stated 10 Year Plan.

Bitcoin Purchase Lifts Treasury Above July Balance

The company paid an average £47,052, or about $63,328, for each Bitcoin in the latest transaction. Therefore, the purchase increased its treasury from exactly 2,700 BTC to 2,712 BTC. BitcoinTreasuries.NET now ranks the company 28th among major corporate Bitcoin holders worldwide.

The purchase followed July’s early repayment of the $11.7 million Smarter Convert financing instrument. The company sold 177.8909127 BTC at an average $65,762 to meet that obligation. Consequently, the sale reduced its Bitcoin balance while clearing debt before the scheduled maturity.

The repayment also removed 7,718,551 potential ordinary shares from the company’s fully diluted share count. Investment manager TOBAM and related entities supported the request for early settlement. However, management kept the company’s wider Bitcoin accumulation policy unchanged after retiring the instrument.

Treasury Cost Basis Remains Above Bitcoin Market Price

The company’s net average Bitcoin purchase price stands at £82,886, or about $111,548 per coin.Bitcoin traded near $63,000 when the latest transaction occurred. As a result, the treasury’s average cost remained well above the prevailing market price.

Gross Bitcoin purchases have reached £233.5 million, while net purchases total £224.8 million after previous sales. The difference reflects disposals, including July’s sale for the convertible repayment. The latest acquisition shows the company has returned to adding Bitcoin after that reduction.

The company reported a negative 4.80% Bitcoin yield for the second quarter of 2026. That measure tracks Bitcoin holdings against the fully diluted share count. The result showed lower Bitcoin exposure per share during the quarter.

Financing Supports Continued Bitcoin Strategy

The company has drawn £18.5 million from a Coinbase credit facility carrying a variable 6% interest rate. That borrowing represents about 17% leverage against its Bitcoin position. Bitcoin prices and financing costs directly affect the company’s treasury performance.

On August 3, the company also raised £1.016 million through share placements and warrant exercises. Warrant holders exercised 2.875 million warrants during the financing activity. Following those transactions, the company’s total issued shares reached 374.84 million.

The Smarter Web Company began regular Bitcoin purchases in 2025 under its corporate treasury plan. It held 2,470 BTC in September after buying 30 BTC and expanding custody through Coinbase Institutional. By October, another 100 BTC purchase lifted holdings to 2,650 BTC under the same policy.
