The merger between Boerse Stuttgart Digital and institutional trading firm Tradias has been officially formalized, following the completion of the regulatory ownership control procedure required by the competent authorities. The transaction, first announced in February 2026, unifies two of the most prominent companies in the European institutional crypto ecosystem into a single digital asset infrastructure unit with approximately 300 employees.

According to the official statement, the resulting entity will operate under the name Boerse Stuttgart Digital, while Tradias will be retained as a specific brand for trading services. The combined structure will offer trading, custody, staking and tokenization, with its main offices in Frankfurt and Stuttgart, and additional presence in Athens, Beirut, Berlin, Dubai, Madrid, Milan and Ljubljana.

Leadership of the new entity will be shared by Christopher Beck, founder of Tradias, and Ulli Spankowski, managing director of Boerse Stuttgart Digital, who will serve as co-CEOs. The decision to distribute leadership between the figureheads of both companies reflects the equal footing on which the transaction was structured.

The merged unit’s client base includes top-tier financial institutions. Boerse Stuttgart Digital works with entities such as DZ Bank, DekaBank, Intesa Sanpaolo and Société Générale-FORGE. Tradias, for its part, serves clients including flatexDEGIRO, dwpbank and European government institutions. The firm also provides trading and market-making services for more than 150 cryptocurrencies and other digital assets.

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The merger is part of a consolidation strategy within the European institutional crypto infrastructure market, where demand for regulated services from banks and asset managers continues to grow as the continent’s regulatory framework gains further clarity and consistency.
