At press time, ASTER is trading at $0.602, and the 24-hour percentage move is unknown. The technical setup for this token still looks poor; nevertheless, whale movements could prove to be important in case ASTER moves past key resistance levels.

What Makes Aster Price Bearish?

The current arrangement indicates that there is still selling pressure across several timeframes.

Why Is the Aster Price Whale Position Significant?
According to Lookonchain, one whale created a 4x long position by holding 7.2 million ASTER worth roughly $4.33 million and also staking 4.02 million ASTER worth about $2.42 million for four years.
Lookonchain stated, “The whale opened a 4x long on 7.2M $ASTER ($4.33M) on @Aster_DEX and also staked 4.02M $ASTER ($2.42M) for 4 years.“
What makes the above-mentioned actions interesting is that the whale is showing bullish leveraged exposure for the short run while allocating a considerable amount of ASTER for the longer run. Nonetheless, a whale position alone cannot reverse prices.

How Does CoinGlass Data Affect Aster Price?
CoinGlass data adds another layer to the current Aster price setup. ASTER’s open interest stands at around $323.35 million, while 24-hour futures volume is approximately $53 million, significantly higher than its spot volume of about $6.38 million.
The gap between futures and spot activity shows that derivatives are playing a major role in ASTER’s current market structure. Around $89,430 in ASTER futures positions were liquidated over 24 hours, suggesting that leveraged traders remain exposed as the token moves around the $0.60 level.
Can Aster Price Break Above $0.62?
Price moving above the level of $0.619 might indicate an early recovery signal, with the next level of resistance being set at $0.639. In case the price moves above this level, the zone between $0.693 and $0.704 will become a tougher one for the price to overcome.
Currently, ASTER shows a positive return for August of 0.45%, despite the drops in July and June of 3.68% and 14.2%, respectively.
It is necessary to watch out for a potential reversal above the key EMAs, while the RSI needs to reclaim 50 to provide stronger confirmation.
